I am tired of being made to feel like a bad guy for taking the offer of Sheogorath by that holier than though Shalidor.
Shalidor is the real villain and I hate him for it.
1. He knew the risk of the curse on the books to Valaste. He knew the risks, he knew her sanity was compromised and chose to continue. Then he blames you for making a choice little different from his own. Stinking hypocrite.
2. He is the real bad guy for screwing it up in the first place, then screwing Valaste into that position. He manipulated someone easy to influence into making a sacrifice he knew of in advance and relied on someone else; a stranger.
3. Then when the stranger chooses Power, he gets mad that you didn't choose a path of Altruism. And, what do you offer Shalidor? Some crappy piece of gear that will be easily replaced? You tempt me with garbage to save Valaste? So you offer a deal for Power, just not the same desired power. So you, like Sheograth tempt me with power over Valaste only your offer for power is something to Decon.
