Painted armors, you still think they look good?

I'm wearing mostly light armor, but light armor pieces can't be dyed as good as heavy, unfortunately. I still would love to have a white robe with some black contrasts (would be awesome on my Argonian robe!), but instead of white it turns brown-beige-whatever. Only black or reddish colors can be used to not look odd, everything else is a mix of color and dirt.

Try using dark elf light armour, that dyes really well in almost any colour.

Here's some i did today whilst meddling.

I was going for a "firey" theme hehe

Wow, this looks fantastic! I'll try this next time I'll login, thank you :-)

@Raygee The pictures dont do it justice, it really shines like gemstones.

I believe the colour are: Jode red, Riften copper (for the edges/middle colour) and Atmora bronze.

Personally I find all armor wear looks moth bitten and that's its been put threw the wash one to many times. Ripped and torn and full of holes.

Least that's what it looks like on my end.

I wear all light and find some textures irritating. You pick a color that is shiny when applied yet on the light armor everything is shiny but the tops. They are all flat. Really takes away from the outfit. The pants are made of the same material as the tops so why are they dull and the pants shiny? Just looks odd....

I actually really like ESO armor and its colouring o.o Looks perfectly realistic and highly detailed to me and at the same time it doesn't look like a Christmas tree so covered with decorations that you can't see the tree itself - still looks like a relatively realistic armor.

Far as colouring goes, yes, different materials dye differently(especially light armor), but I actually like that part. Makes sense that the material it's made of should affect the colour, I vastly prefer that to everyone running around in neon coloured unnatural looking armors.

I think we could use more armor styles, but they seem to be working on it so it's all good:)

I still think leathers look pretty naff.. with whatever their base colour showing through. Also would like to see cosmetic gear dyeable.. for example the rewards you get for VR2 and 6 etc.

When asked about it on a stream they have a very basic answer.
Shiny graphics and crippling demands on GPU, or painted armours and a smooth running game.

Something to that extent any way, I would love to see full 3D modelled armours, at the same time Cyrodiil grinds to a halt as it is with 60+ in one area, I don't think we need more graphical needs.

I'm going back to standard colors. Just bugs me too much that shields don't match my armor.

I think more realistic textures may be implemented in the colors, armors and weapons, but i like the way we already have.

In addition, i would like to see some "akaviri" style armor and weapons, similar to samurai armor variants. A new Racial motif maybe? With Katanas? But still lore friendly. Armors of the Dragonguard. It will look awesome. I think someone has suggested it, or something similar has implemented in the game already, i don't know, i'm new here. :D

No, I'd much prefer if armour was more than just texture on top of our character's body. The "belt faulds" are just meh. Boots look like funny socks...
I want armour to look like armour, not just bodypaint.

yep. :# I achieved most of the decent stuff. One area of the game solved. Though I do get a reductionist thrill from a newly crafted set of armour. Lasts all of the teleport from set armour forge to dye station.
