Mechanics, caps..etc. Zenimax relies on the players to figure it out...then half the stuff they do explain (tool tips) doesnt work when people test it.

Seriously, this has to be the most customer unfriendly product. If I buy a car it tells me how to change the oil, the Horsepower...towing...etc. I dont have to "figure it out".

Sorry i just think its dumb I have to do CONSTANT research, rebuilding my character...grinding for cash....just to enjoy what is supposed to be a "game" not a job.

QQ more.

Sounds like a game to me. Maybe watching movies or reading books is more your thing. I had fun learning everything while playing the game.

Figuring things out is part of the fun. Well, at least for me it is.

In fact, i think ESO already does *way* too much hand-holding as it is. I'd like to see it toned down a lot.

I believe it's part of the same reason why the base game has such a limited UI. They want you to be IMMERSED in the game and not worry about how the game actually works.

Unfortunately, they failed in this by making conflicting and confusing tool-tips that often don't do what they say. Or even if they technically do what they say, the actual effects are far from impressive.

Their damage/mitigation/softcap system is designed to reduce min/max'ing. Unfortunately their whole model still allows some builds/abilities to be much stronger than others.

The actual formula's the game works off have been uncovered by people trying to test the mechanics, so they are available out there if you search.
