If ZOS treated us like the Forums at Pax Prime.....

So heres the scenario, if the forums were interpreted into face to face meetings....

So Im at Pax Prime, I finally find the place where ZOS is at. Theres a LONG line to get to the table. I wait, and wait, and wait more. Finally I get to the table and get a few moments with a ZOS employee. "Hi, Im an avid ESO player, and I would like to know when werewolves are going to be fixed and if there will ever be a resolution to the horrid banking system we have now." The ZOS employee is looking right at me, I know he heard me ask my question. He then gets up and without acknowledging my presence turns his back to me and walks away, never returning. Im incensed!, That was quite rude to do!

Would that happen at a face to face meeting? Probably not, humans find it hard to be rude on that level in person, but for some reason make a habit of it on forums. We ask questions that get completely ignored, not even a hint of an answer, much less acknowledgement that we even asked a question. I know ZOS is reading our questions because in some threads there is a ZOS employee comment about something that is not relevant to the OP's question (Like thread was moved, don't use bad language, etc.) So if ZOS is reading our questions and posts but choosing to specifically ignore them, That is quite rude to do.

Thanks ZOS....

I would love to hear a comment on the banking system. There were nearly 500 people who said the banking system didn't have enough space on the current poll. Shared banks and multiple alts, with a vast list of mats, ingredients, sets, trophies, alt xfer space, it is a problem.

Werewolfs... the only reason to go werewolf is that you want to be a werewolf. The skill line does not provide any reason other than that. There is an enormous amount of potential there that just hasn't been put into it for some reason.

I'd ask them how they cope with all the people crying and yelling and panting and never being happy in forums no matter what they do or how hard they try.

But I fear that they would end up crying on my shoulder which is a dealbreaker for me. I'd probably end up unsubscribing.

I'd be glad the employee in question walked away; I probably would be nominating him for a humanitarian award if he'd sucker-punched you on the way out.

Communication is key, and ZOS has been exceptionally good at communicating. I'm not sure why those two issues prevail but hopefully they will be on their list for the next round of communication.

You clearly haven't played most popular MMORPGs out there, try communicating with Korean Grindfest MMOG makers.

There is NO employee in question; it is a made up scenario. what I find rude is not those asking stupid questions or making slanted opinions of things that only effect them. There are people on these forums that are asking legitimate questions that are not whining, crying, yelling or panting. Why should ZOS be rude to players that are merely asking a well thought out question or two?

It is not their job nor their obligation to answer to your questions.

When they do, it's because they have received specific information that they are allowed to release to the public, most of the time it's things that have been settled and that have been deemed acceptable for public knowledge by people up in hierarchy. If they don't answer, it's because they don't know, because it hasn't been settled, because they aren't allowed to tell you or simply because they want to see how the discussion goes.

You feel entitled to an answer, problem is you aren't, none of us are, it's not written in the agreement you sign without reading that ZOS has to answer every single question, legitimate or not, that you ask them.

This could be the fixes I need to cure my vampirism and go back to playing Werewolf now that the CC break bug is being fixed.

They don't communicate on everything but they are far and away better at communicating than any mmo I have seen. Shoot we just got a mod in here already.

Most of the time, as we just found out with werewolfs, they have already communicated and we just missed it.

What ZOS the worst at communicating??
    Hardly XD O:)

They respond far more often than other MMOs, and give out more info on upcoming stuff too.

Before someone comes out with a list of MMOs that communicate more than ZOS with us. I'm not saying this is the best game forum for communication (although that wouldn't surprise me), but rather it is nowhere near the worst.

Strawman arguments always fail .. it's utterly irrelevant how good or not other MMO developers are, but that doesn't stop you fanboys using them to deflect criticism.

ZOS may be better than those you're referring to, they're still crap at genuine dialog with the players and hugely worse than some.

Like the game or not, you can't argue with any credibility that Blizzard don't provide vast amounts of information and reasoning about how they're evolving WOW .. the 'developer cooler' blog is one lesser example .. if ZOS developers (not forum PR people) did 1/10 of what Blizzard does it'd be a massive improvement.

Or take Anet and GW2, again please restrain yourself from posting a strawman about how crap you think the game is, the genuine two-way conversations that regularly take place on their forums have nothing remotely similar on here.

    Please unsub already. Ty.

ZOS is much better at communication than many other MMO makers. If you have played other MMOs you know this, that doesn't stop you haters from never being satisfied and always complaining about something. If you hate the game so much, do what you claimed you would do and unsub.

I think the problem is that a lot of people are demanding answers so no matter if it's the forums or face to face as in the scenario, confrontation won't get you an answer any more than them just not wanting to give one.

It's both hilarious and sad that they replied in this thread.

Hilarious because it destroys the OP's "point". Sad because it makes people like the OP think that being overly belligerent is the key to getting an official response.

    True.

Especially as they do actually respond to threads quite often, and not just to shut them down. The Mods often join in, and show they have a sense of humour.

It doesn't "destroy" the OPs point. It's a coincidence. It's also going to be very telling when they respond to and take 0 feedback from the thread, like they did with the provisioning revamp thread.

ZOS is not bad at all at communicating with their player base, and is still one of the better ones out there even if you rule out the Korean games. Can they improve? Of course. I read many game forums and you guys act like Zos is the worst, ha, I've seen way way worse than this. in reality tho most of the forums are the same with the level of talkative devs on the forums.
