Carpentry a lost art in Tamriel ?

Certainly seems so, I've yet to encounter a single properly working door. Cyrodiil seems to be some sort of penal colony for the worst of the worst of carpenters. Plenty of doors will not open at all there.

Wonder what it'll be like in the Imperial City...Maybe they have some competent craftsmen ?

Most of those doors have chains and bars across them (ie sealed and obvious), a few don't, but I just assume they are locked, after all I haven't lockpicked any doors at all (chests yes, doors no).

    This.

Before you make some wise-ass remarks about doors not opening, actually take a look at the door in question. I guarantee that there's a giant padlock on it.

Oh look. Another condescending post. How refreshing.

What of the keep doors in Cyrodiil that refuse to work? That's actually an issue.

A bugged door that says "Open" when you mouse over it and doesn't actually open is not what the OP is talking about. If you'd read the extremely snarky and condescending initial post, you would probably have noticed that. He's talking about the wide variety of doors, primarily in Cyrodiil, that actually can't be opened.

Snarky and condescending? Hardly. And the OP didn't specify if it was doors not opening due to bugs or doors not designed to open at all. Either way, it would be nice to have more doors open even if there is nothing useful inside, rather than having a ton of closed off buildings all over the place.

lol that's not what happens. When you repair a postern side of a keep, for example, the repaired door often doesn't have anything come up at all.

If you knew what you were talking about, you'd know that.

Today I can't pass any doors in Cyrodiil with resto staff equipped, I have to switch to S&B every single time I want to enter or leave a keep.

Those carpenters probably saw this post and are trolling me in game now.

( I'm not kidding about the staff thing - It's kinda hilarious actually. )

he is not talking about the craft woodworking

OP is using a clever way of asking to fix the bugs involving cyrodil doors, that stop working, and might even be the reason, why we either lose or win a keep unfairly.

The only thing that makes it fair right now, is the fact it happens on all 3 factions

Because calling someone a "wise-ass" isn't "extremely snarky and condescending" :open_mouth:

Have you even SEEN the amount of bookshelves it takes to sustain Tamriel???! I mean even with the million or so currently available... on mountaintops, inside of houses, in dungeons, alternate dimensions, demon realms and the guild vaults alone is enough to keep all the capenters busy for the next eon or so..lets remember what is really important here books and having bookshelves to stack them on!
