Suggestion to have skipped quests in own starting area scale once in VR

Right now there is no real incentive to go back and complete any missed low level quests in my own starting area unless your a completionist or if it gives a skill point.

Can we get these to scale up like they do for us in other starting areas? I see no reason why not to once you're in VR levels...

It's the personal experience and the story that I do quests for, not some Exp points and a piece of Loot.

Quite Frankly, the loot is just something I have to sell, destroy, research or deconstruct. As for exp, there is enough of that following the MQ and other level appropriate quests.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I'm not quite sure how changing the level would add incentive. You've already passed the area, so it wouldn't matter what level the quest was because you'd still only be doing it for the skill point, achievement, or because you're a completionist.

Because why not? I have back tracked to get shards and then just happen to find some quest givers that got missed. As I said, not much incentive while I'm still working through other VR areas's to bother doing those right now.

If they scaled it up I would prefer to do those to complete the area and get some VR XP.

There is incentive...you get Veteran Points for these quests just like you do in Vet zones. All quests, once you hit VR, give vet points, regardless of level. In fact, you get more advancement in some cases from low level quests than you would have had you done them when they were at your level.

FYI, experience points do already scale. If you skip a quest, then go back to it as VR and complete it, you get VR level experience for it. Sad really.

As said above, you get vet points for quests. It is actually a nice change of pace from the vet grind and makes it nice when you are helping lowbies and find a quest you missed.

That's not right.. not for quests in your own starting zone... when everything is still very low level.. you don't get squat... no XP, no drops.. nada. Is there some trigger that must be reached to make these quest scale to VR? I'm almost done with VR now and they're all still this way in my original areas.

Are you saying you'll get XP for finishing a level 5 quest after killing all the lvl5 mobs? What I see regarding the above two posts only applies when the game has VR scaled everything to you... then yeah, what you say is true.

I'm saying why don't even those missed quests from your own starting area's do the same so they're more worth doing?

I haven't done it since the newest update, but I can verify that I did a quest from my starting alliance that I had missed, and the final reward was vet points. You do not get xp, drops, etc. from mobs but you do get the vet points at the end. Since mobs give pansy xp at vet levels anyways it doesn't bother me.

Okay, wow.. thanks for the clarification. Once I saw the low level mobs I presumed the whole thing would be like that.

At least the dungeons of your own alliance could be scaled up. Personally I don't like the idea of visiting other Alliance's territories, so...

I never liked the bypass of the "what used to be" starter islands. IMHO, ZOS should have left those in the main story line.

Perfect example of the damage one highly visible public review can do. And to add insult to injury, by a guy who doesn't even play ESO anymore.
