Burning Status Effect and Burning Skills

I am recently using a build on my DK that works largely with weapon enchantments. Using a 2H in conjunction with powered trait - flame enchantment, so I am applying a burning status effect quite often.

Does burning from multiple sources stack? If I apply burning status effect and use searing strike, are both DoTs taking effect?

AFAIK, all dots stack with each other but one with themselves. So you could have both burning and searing strike's dot tick at the same time, but each new proc of burning will only refresh it's duration.
