Horse armor

I really like the fact that when you increase your horse stamina a piece of armor appears on its head. However, why stop there? I would like to see more pieces of horse armor appear if I keep adding stamina. Eventually it would be nice to see a fully armored horse, like this:

I didn't like the Horse Armour in Oblivion (I only rode Shadowmere in Skyrim, and not often even then) it looked wrong to me, like the poor horse would be in agony.

Mind you I have seen proper horse armour, and most people wouldn't like that either.

I agree, I made a stam horse and thought that I would get the rest of the armor once i hit 60 stam, but no dice, it was disappointing,

I would love it to keep improving armor, saddle and packs per 20 points of increase (e.g giving 3 stages of improvement rather than 1). (with the option to toggle off one or more if you choose) rather than just a single generic stage of each for the first 20 point increase only.

I would also love the mount armor to have motifs of their own which once learnt allow you to toggle the style of your mounts armor, saddle or packs accrodingly allowing for either a full nord, dummer, bosmer, imperial etc.. theme or a mixed combination to suite (but with color matching so you dont end up with odd looking clown horses).

As things stand horse armor/saddle/packs is very simplistic and totally generic looking.

Yes this would be nice, a bit more involved and allow for greater options and customisation of a mounts appearance as you level up your skill.

I'd buy that for a septim! Heck, even for a crown!

Personally I would love to see a more customizable horse. Unlock pieces by raising riding skill is noce, unlocking more options through achievements like dyes would be nicer, and with the crown store they would also want to sell extra-special options in there, which is all right with me too. As long as it lets me customize my characters mount to the character, match the armor, and general style...

Oh, well. Someday, perhaps, if we are lucky...

Horse armor might take a little while. I think the world's gaming community, whether they played Oblivion or not, is still a little sore at the idea of Elder Scrolls horse armor...

is there a way to turn off the armor ? on some mounts it looks good, but on others not so much.
