Armour reducing abilitys/morphs/enchantments

Is there any point for PvE? I know that mark target makes so little difference it is pointless.

Seem to remember hearing/reading that creatures had little to no armour, not sure though.

Thanks in advance.
If real life had a block function i would go out more.

Proud to have spent a year paying to BETA test ESO for consoles.

In pve mobs take 90% damage from physical attacks.
A 40% armor reduction (ie surprise attack) will make mobs take 94-95% damage from physical attacks.
Using Mark target on a mob(ignore 75% of armor) makes that mob take 99% damage from your physical attacks.

Armor reductions in pve aren't that useful as mobs have very little armor to begin with (Veteran mobs have somewhere in the ballpark of 700 armor), but they still give a slight damage boost.
