Sir Cadwell is an upstanding individual. This whole 'almanac' nonsense seems like it's just a smear campaign instituted by the ZOS in order to discredit Sir Cadwell. I have it on good authority that Sir Cadwell was under duress when he handed over his almanacs.
By withholding our access to areas of Tamriel, until we perform a laundry list of tasks, the ZOS are impeding on our right to freedom of movement. Specifically, those among us who have defeated daedric princes, shouldn't have to prove ourselves yet again, and with such petty tasks.
I envision a Nirn where borders don't separate us. A Nirn where access to travel isn't defined by the color of your scales or the legnth of your horns. A Nirn where it doesn't matter where you grew up, or how many towns you've yet to save. A Nirn where if you want to travel to far off places, the only thing that matters is have you killed Molag Bal.
