Where Can Chaurus Meat Be Found?

What map and location is it? Thnx.

    I have found it in crates, generally in areas suitable for the recipes which use it.
    Ie. if it's a level 25 recipe, then it will be in area's where the mobs are around about 25-30.

    Ebonheart Pact. It makes level 30 recipes, so probably most common in Shadowfen. (or the corresponding areas in other alliances where there are EP invading camps)

    kk, I have searched all over Shadowfen and I cant find any at all. They use to be at a shipping port there cuz I found lots there about 4 months ago but now they are gone. I'm seriously ticked off. I spent hours looking for that meat and now its gone cuz they moved it or they screwed it up and completely erased it from the game and dont even know about it. I'm assuming they dont know that they screwed it up.

    Out of curiosity, are you finding food mats of your level in that area instead?

    I've noticed that containers tend to have a lot of leveled loot these days, and I think if your character level and provisioning level are high enough, you'll start getting appropriate drops based on that rather than the region of the world you're in.

    I found a recipe that calls for chaurus meat in the Aldmeri Dominion zone Grahtwood...I've never seen the meat anywhere or even a chaurus in ESO.

    I've found AD and DC recipes in EP. One of them was a blue I didn't have the EP equivalent for, so I had to farm the AD camps for saltrice.

    As @nerevarine1138‌ points out, there seems to be an issue with the ingredients levelling with the character, but the "bases" (drippings, meal, flour) staying at the level of the region.

    There was a thread on this in the Support forum, but maybe we should all file bug reports.

    I got lots of the meat from Shadowfen which is a VR zone for me since I'm from AD. I have lvl50 provisioning and I think they did something to it cuz I cant get any at all now. As far as I know the meat is a EP food item only. I even checked the other maps for the EP & I didnt get any of the meat.

    They can be a bit random, but they are in crates and chests, I have found them in Shadowfen, and also the previous area. They are also in other zones too.

    Mind you I don't know if they've vanished due to an update since then, mainly because I'm not looking for them anymore, I'm looking for shanks for shank' and potatoe pie.

    Edit~ for crying out loud, shank' is a cut of meat, it doesn't need to be filtered/censored.

    Your character level messes with what drops and you may need to use one of your lower level toons to acqui...acqui... get what you need.

    Yeah, I agree but I went there on my VR5 NB and farmed the heck out of it and now there is none there. Its either broken or they changed something.
