New 'Nirnhoned' Trait in Update 1.4 - Was it Worth it ?

Ok so we are getting a new trait in update 1.4

Nirnhoned Crafting Trait

•A new crafting trait, Nirnhoned, has been discovered in Craglorn! The necessary trait items can be found rarely while harvesting in Upper Craglorn, and Nirnhoned equipment can be obtained by completing the main quest line in Upper Craglorn.

And for those who don't already know its a 'Spell Resist' trait. Are you going to use it? or is it going to be like most the other traits and pointless ?

It'll be good for EVE flashbacks while it takes me 2 months to train it.

At least it doesn't take 2 years of skill training to effectively use a siege engine. :P

I see it perhaps being nice for tanks, since a lot of complaints about heavy vs light are that spell resistance is more important in dungeons.

That still doesn't address the fact that light armor still has significantly superior spell resistance passives, allowing traits to pick up slack elsewhere. It also doesn't change the fact that trials are DPS races and tanks in general are just watered down dps.

But hey, it's a start.

I'm into the spell resist soft cap already so I don't see using Nirn honed at all.

There are new crafting traits that cap the max time to research at 30 days. Just a heads up.

Would kinda be unfair to solo crafters to give not only new traits but also the potential to craft new 9-item sets only to those willing to grind high-end group content as a stick/staff robot.

Unless they decide to make the items BOE so you can get them at the guild store.
