Guild Ranks....

First an admission, I did a quick search but not a thorough one so if this has been covered many times I apologise. :p

I want to create a Vice GM position, to make sure when I am absent there is a trusted Guild Member who has all the appropriate permissions.

However when I did this, the new rank then became the rank of any new people joining the guild and the new 'Vice GM' did not have the required permissions although the boxes for that rank where ticked appropriately.........

What am I missing/doing wrong......

All help gratefully received :D

I am sorry to be the first to tell you but sadly... some guilds are broken.

Checked your link my issue is different I can change anything I wish for all other ranks and all my GM boxes are checked........

However when I created a new rank with more permissions than my present officers, that rank somehow became the rank that all new members were assigned, which was not what I wanted and although the 'promote' and 'demote' boxes were checked my new Vice GM could not perform those actions.....

I wanted a one person rank of Vice GM to cover all options during any absence that I might have. :D

I figure this out, you have to copy a rank, example, I copy my original officer's rank and made a new lead Officer rank with all the default permissions for officers and I added the extra. Try to copy the Guild leader rank, then move it under the GL rank.
