Evermore Wayshrines

Evermore has two wayshrines; Eastern Evermore Wayshrine, and Evermore Wayshrine (which is to the north). I think this is an inefficient use of Wayshrines, and that one of these could be relocated to somewhere more practical.

Currently, Eastern Evermore Wayshrine is the most useful if you want to go to: the bank, the crafting stations, the stables, the guild halls, the castle, the tavern, the majority of vendors, and the guild traders, as well as places in central Bangkorai.

Northern Evermore Wayshrine is useful for: nothing. It's slightly closer to the bag vendor and a couple of general merchants, but you only save about 5 seconds compared to the journey from the Eastern Wayshrine. Northern Wayshrine is no use if you want to go to places in northern Bangkorai either, as you either have to go through the (always hostile) Northglen Farm, or swim across the river.

I think a better location for a wayshrine would be on the road between Blackheart Haven and Murcien's Hamlet, on the north side of the river, somewhere around coordinates 0.370, 0.245. This new "Murcien's Hamlet Wayshrine" would be in prime location for groups looking to run the Blackheart dungeon, as well as being a more useful spawn point for anyone who dies in Murcien's Hamlet, who currently spawn in Evermore and have to swim across the river.

TL;DR: Because of the redundancy of having two wayshrines in close proximity, I would suggest replacing Northern Evermore Wayshrine with a new Murcien's Hamlet Wayshrine.

I never thought about it before, but you're absolutely right. That wayshrine is completely unnecessary where it is, especially in light of the fact that all the other major cities only have one wayshrine. It would definitely be more useful elsewhere.

If they do improve the distribution of wayshrines by moving the Northern one to Murcien's Hamlet, they will need to also make the Eastern one the one which unlocks as soon as you enter Bangkorai. I had forgotten that the Northern one was used for that.

I'd forgotten about Evermore's excessive wayshrines until someone said to me the other day "Why does Evermore have two wayshrines?" to which I said "I have no idea."

Since they moved the Mournhold one to be inside the city, it doesn't seem much of a stretch to move the northern Evermore one to the west side of Murcien's Hamlet. Does anyone ever use the northern one at Evermore?

You're right @Enodoc. One wayshrine is unnecessary in Evermore.

By the way: What about daggerfall? This major city have only one wayshrine in the north, but none in the south. So we have always to riding from the north to the south to reach the bank, the enchanter, the forge.... Maybe they could transfer the unnecessary wayshrine in Evermore to the south of daggerfall?

Nowhere needs to have two wayshrines, but maybe the Daggerfall one could be more centralised, eg in that patch of grass west of the river and south of the castle. I like how it's out of the way (it keeps some of the lag from players spawning in at it away from the crafting sites), but it's definitely too far away from them to be much use repeatedly.

I agree that Evermore's two wayshrines are redundant, but suspect it's because initial quests (after the first one, just south of the city, to get that guy's head) are to the north. Presumably, some dev thought it was important to have a wayshrine there; when you're doing the quests north of Evermore (to kill the Reachmen; to solve the WW problem; to help the Wyrd; plus the delve) you'd have to fight your way back into Evermore if there wasn't a wayshrine (of course you could always use the one to the east for that purpose).

For Daggerfall, just in case you didn't know, you can always teleport (or whatever you want to call it) from other areas to the Harborage (although you can't teleport from the Harborage) to get the the southern part of the city.

    Just guessing...

That wouldn't be worth it though, since the eastern wayshrine is better placed for everything in the city. It's also actually worse in reverse, as if you die in Silaseli or Murcien's Hamlet and release to a wayshrine you end up at that one and have to fight through Northglen to get back to where you were. I'd also rather not have to swim the Bjoulsae or fight through Murcien's Hamlet when leaving Blackheart Haven, which is why I suggested that as the best place to move it to.
