Has VR PvE Been Nerfed Too Much?

I'm just 80,000 odd points into Cadwells VR quest in Stonefalls. Now I know the quest line from the beta, so I know what's going on.

I have not died at all since I started Cadwell's Silver. I just did the Balreth quest and I just burned him down, did not move, just sat there and burned, it's what sorcs do. Now my witch is a powerful glass canon but it was just a bit weird actually. The low level quest killed me and I ran all over the place constantly just to stay alive.

    yea that Balreth fight just got ridiculously easy. I replayed it on an alt, now this wasn't vr mind you, and he just stood there. Didn't ever go into the lava or even hit back.

    Answer is pretty much way yes they over did nerfing of the vet zones, though what was there before did need toning down a little.

    Look ill be honest. This game has a huge draw from people who love the TES games...people who like the solo-ish gameplay...meaning they want to group up with a friend or two but also be able to go off on their own and get lost.

    This is different from a lot of other mmorpgs...despite people from those games are here, and wanting forced grouping stuff all over because...that's what they are use to and to them the "point" of a mmorpg.

    I think this game should focus on having a strong solo experience the entire game, but also offer stuff for groups...They really could stand to add a congruent storyline through all the early VR content and add the same in Craiglorn.

    I don't think these players would care about their solo TES-ing wasn't the most efficient way to level...while typical mmorpg people care only about how quickly to endgame they can get...so why not add some stuff that can be farmed quickly in a group for these folks?

    Ill admit, im really loving this game as a solo TES game with mmo-pvp...I don't really like the whole grouping PVE content in this game (maybe survival area will change that) Lines are too blurred in role, group size is far too small to be diverse, classes are too direct in how they play to account for interesting party mechanics...and getting a group is a royal pain. Top it off with a combat system I love but hate in a tight quarters dungeon...I dislike the tab target system in this game and prefer traditional TES targeting...which sucks in difficult group content when more than one enemy is on screen.

    I think the solo pve is about right, a tad on the easy side but not all the time.

    It's not. It's playable and enjoyable. It's how 1-50 was for me.
    Before the adjustment, the game was unplayable the way I wanted, because without a Fire staff and a lot of CC I just couldn't kill a single mob group. I had to drop my heavy armor, sword and shield. Now, I can enjoy the game the way I want.
