Play first person only with UI disabled.

I think it would be cool to see some vids from some really good players doing runs under this challenge's criteria (1st or 3rd person camera even).
I do what I can, when I can, to provide in game help to those seeking it. @RoyMallis

    I sometimes heal in first person in dungeons but not without UI. I have a need to spam the chat :D And of course I need to know when/who to heal.

    I play first person all the time. No one has noticed in the various group dungeons I've been in.

    Just did one of the tombs in Craglorn with a PUG and healed and DPS'd like a mad man. I'm trying to level resto staff now.

    Anyone else having far to easy a time in the VR Cadwell stuff? It's much easier than the first time around. Just did Balreth and that was ridiculous. I ran around like a fool the first time and died even. This time I just sat there and burned him down, the witch is packin', but that was weird.

    I am at my parents' house, so you will have to go it alone until Kotaro gets there. I, for one, am glad I will miss that, it sounds detrimental to my survival!

    hehe your lucky, i did it on my own, and i uped it pvp, no hud, fpv, it was so fun it isnt funny, vid is uploading atm ill post in 173 mins or so hehe

    Seriously I prefer 1st person....but its a pain looking for materials without a wide field of view and an aerial view.

    Without impact on hit, or an animation change which not only shows you hitting your opponent, but your opponent being hit by you (watch NeverWinter Online videos ... hate the comparison, but their combat animations are good along those lines), it's hard to tell you even hit your target with most abilities and attacks.

    Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

    He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

    This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

    I use a horse. You are slightly higher and can see further.

    I'm the author of this addon and play only in first-person since I got this game (well second day) and use no GUI elements (including health bars) with the help of other addon's that remove them.

    So no:
    - Compass
    - Quest trackers
    - World Pins (above quest objectives)
    - map (unbound)
    - camera zoon (unbound; locked to first person)
    - gamma (set almost to 0% to make the night truly dark)
    - health/resource bars (use the red blinking to indicate when I'm low)
    - health bars above mobs/players (Misinformation, I do have player health bars on)
    - chat (only /say)

    I did add ZAM's Notebook to write down all the quest information and, as mentioned above, made my own little addon to let me know my direction and area. Recently added an indicator to when I'm in a quest zone because too often I would miss the "questing area" because what I needed there was dead or the quest object needed to respawn. So I feel like I'm cheating a little bit by having that function but if I didn't I'd be left clueless even if I was on the right track to completing a Quest Step.

    On my 6th character, 28th day, and averaging level 15-25 without any GUI. I tell you what it's tough but I wanted to be free of the leash the GUI was.

    Okie doke, time for everyone to make fun of me! =P

    Thanks, but I will admit I had to turn my compass (and then quest markers) back on a few times because sometimes my quest npc's bug_out and I can't see them, even if I know I'm in the right place or close to the right place.

    Pretty frustrating looking for the quest turn in/progression only to find out I went past location twenty times, for hours, and the NPC was invisible. ~laughs~

    This is how i play normally.. no UI... its easy with a controller. I only ever toggle the UI for the map occasionally. Try this in WoW with around 200 assigned keyboard commands....was doing this in my prime.

    I certainly can't play without a compass, I get lost. Usually it is combat, I go along to the North, get in a fight, then end up walking SE after. As you mentioned the Quest Markers are almost a requirement at certain stages of a quest, for sure the "look in this area" blue is needed as I wander out of those areas all the time with the compass enabled.

    That being said, I am of the Less is More when it comes to HUDs. I have FTC, but everything turned off except the numbers on the exp bars. I will add a minimap the next time I think about it, that might help with getting lost.
