Quick-Slot Is Useless

I'm not a jet fighter pilot with lightning reflexes. The "Q" quick-slot is designed for consoles, not for the PC. The games needs real quick-slots that I can assign potions to easily and use with hotkeys.

If anyone knows of a good addon where I can keymap assign multiple quickslots, that would be much appreciated.

Yeah, I'm sort of inclined to agree. I mean, it's great for one single item, but mid-battle there's no sense in my trying to change to a different potion/item/etc. Because, lol, dead. I would like to see it changed to something like that mentioned above--multiple quickslots with different keybinds.

This is a modable item; there are current mods that map hot keys to additional quick items. This is as intended (single quick slot) but with an API that allows for swapping and using items quickly.

I'm with you on this one, the quick slot solution is a Joke at the moment when using a keyboard and mouse, it's really awkward to use and doesn't make for a good experience when playing the game.

Hopefully in the future they'll take a serious look at this.

I work around the QS one-potion issue by brewing multi-action potions!

But, yeah, the Quick Slot is terrible.

Give us the other number keys. We have the first 5 (1 to 5) for Skills, let us have the next half (6 to 10) for Hotkeys.

I don't even need 9 quick slots like we have now. Really, I just need 3, Health, Magic and Stamin potion. Then two for food items and I am all set.

Keep the cooldown timers, just let me hit 6 for a health potion, 7 for magic (or whatever your set up is).

Agree .. I hate when I'm hitting qqqqqqqqq and nothing... ahhhhhh or some undead is pulverizing you will you try and get the rt dang potion highlighted

I always end up having a forward camp or oil pot sitting there when I really need a panacea of spell crit to go off. Mashing q to no effect is getting frustrating for sure

that happens to me ALL the time. I don't really have enough available keys to hotkery them with greymind either.

Agree as well. It's fine if you're just relying on one potion or buff, but the system as-is isn't conducive to switching out potions mid-battle.

Will certainly give that add-on a try though.

I'm not a huge fan, but if you emulate on a controller, it actually works pretty well in PVE, but in PVP I agree its too slow and just keep my heal all pots as my active quick slot.

Fair enough, but, I shouldn't have to use a controller on my PC to make the interface work.

Goto www.esoui.com and type quickslot in the search engine. Greymane quickslot is an awesone addon for this.

yeah i truly hate the current quick slot setup
i have never used anything in combat besides the 3 stat heal potions, since trying to swap in combat seems impossible
after i hit v 12 and now spend 99% of my time in pvp, i even stopped using the heal potions, since i always have siege/repair/forward camps slottet

I use Greymind....it's ok....still need to use 2 buttons to use diff potions.

Not to hijack the thread, but why not allow players to assign key-combo's....like every other MMO - or is this a console thing also?

Too funny ! I swear last night I hit for a mag. pot and I had oil pot,meat bag cat, oil cat, a fire trib. and wall fixing kit !!! Oh and 1 fc .. too funny

I agree with the others...save your sanity and your life by installing GreymindQuickSlotBar. The default Quickslot setup is a joke and I never used potions with it because its near impossible to use in actual combat. You have to know ahead of time which one potion you'll need and pray you don't need others if you use the default Quickslot.

It has been mentioend repeatedly: Addons can change wich solot is selected. They cannot consume potions for you (obvious anti bot measure).

All offer customseable hotkeys and most even show how many of each kind of potion you have.

If you insist on not using addons, that is your own choice. And you suffer the conequecnes for your choices, as is normal in the adult world.

I'd be happy if they just allowed two quickslot keybindings. One for food/drink and one for a potion of choice. Both would work exactly like it is now but independently.

I am constantly eating when I want to heal with a potion and I'm using up all my potions when I just want to eat!

What I did was move the binding of the Help key from F1 to F12 because its not something I'm generally in a huge rush to use. I then I bound F1-F4 to my Greymind Quickslot functions for potions, it works for me pretty well but I wish I could just press F1 and get the potion not just select it then still have to press Q to use it but its a step in the right direction.
