armor question

Is there anything better then v12 crafted sets for weapons and armor? Are there any lootable items in trials or bosses that have better stats?

Just wondering so if you know can you list the set name and where it drops?

for the most part Crafted is the best . Trial gear is arguably better, it certainly looks better. But in all honesty yu can mix and match crafted with some of the blue drops and upgrade and have as good of a set up as trial gear. as for the Vr dungeons they dont drop even anything remotely good as crafted gear. people who like 4 man content are totaly screwed COH is not worth even the skill point .

The Wise Mage (Aether) set of Light Armor is pretty good from Trials.

Some PvP sets would be good for certain wacky builds in PvE.

Trials and Vet dugn sets have 1 or 2 more armor. The weapons do 1 or 2 more damage.

Trials > Vet Dugn > Crafted > Normal Drops

So that is a little better, but not better enough to make a difference. The best differences is the SET bonuses, and that all depends on your play style as to if it is better or not.

Personally, I used two sets, one crafted, one dropped (seducer and warlock)

Vet Dungeons are no where near Crafted V12 gear. not anywhere near it. Even that stupid group bous set gea is out done by crafted. hell even the green open world sets that you can upgrade are better.

V12 vet dungeon drops (vet cryph) has 1 more damage and 1 more armor then any crafted. I was comparing just the base damage and armor rating, as I said, the set bonuses make all the difference

Well that's a bummer....and not much incentive. ...boy whoever designed the loot system should be fired....don't they know the whole concept to excite people to play is better gear?

Since very early in development they've explicitly said that they want the best gear in the game to be player-crafted. For people like myself who enjoy crafting, this has always been a selling point of the game.

No they missed that day in game design class .in all honesty i think konkel and frior have very little control any more. That or they thought Daoc's itemization would work 12 years later

They never said that. they said they wanted crated gear to be competitive and have meaning.why even make a theme park mmo if that were the case.. they clearly said craglorn and vr dungeons would have the most powerful items in game.
