Is There a Solution Coming for the Critical Data Error?

Like the title says. I'm still having two to four or more CDEs per play session. It's frustrating and expensive (in game terms).

I can live with it most of the time, but when it happens when I'm around mobs, and I relog to find my character is now dead, with no soul gems, and have to repair my armor ....

And it's just frustrating. Is there a viable solution (I already repaired my install) or can we expect one soon?

The problem has been around since June for me, so I wouldn't expect it to be fixed any time soon. They don't even mention it in their list of current problems, so it does not seem to have a high priority.

I think those of us who are hit bad with this bug are simply too few for them to bother. They are in damage control mode and need to do a cynical triage with numbers: how many customers could we keep by fixing this, how many would we lose by not fixing that.

I would appreciate an honest response more than the current silence. If they meant it, they could say: "We are sorry, but we have more pressing matters to attend to. This problem is not affecting enough people for us to work on a fix right now. If it influences your experience to the point where you are not enjoying the game, we suggest you stop playing."

I'm in the "safe" triage group, by the way. I'm affected by this, but it's not a deal breaker for me, it's just one more of the many little annoyances that I have decided to put up with.

Its been happening for me since June as well and I've been patient, but like OP said, it gets expensive in-game to deal with at times, and can genuinely make the game not enjoyable.

Never happens to me or to most people. That suggests it may be on your end.

Now we have router schemes that actually run the traffic on the internet and that is not always perfectly set up, so your particular bit may be somewhat borked. It may also be a peculiarity of your machine.

In either of those cases Zenimax is helpless.
