Give this guy a job ZoS.
Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.

Just to throw in. In addition to saying what type of damage/crit/mitigation a skill has, you should also be informed, before you even purchase the base level of a skill, what the different morphs of the skill are.

Would presumably be a simple matter of when you click the "+", instead of immediately buying the skill, it basically brings up the same window you get when it's time to morph a skill, so you can hover over the two morph options and see what they do. You can then either accept the purchase of the base version of that skill or, if you don't happen to like what the morphs bring to the table, you can decline the purchase.

Wait, I have to chose between "agree" and "awesome"? In any case, I love it.

Actually, I would personally like *moar info* still for number crunching, but that probably would have to be optional.

Some info about where the damage comes from, like "Damage: 500 (300 base + Stamina * 0.2)". And of course things that scale as percentages (like red diamond being 6% max health) should show that percentage instead of the flat number they do now. But this thing there, is really doubleplusawesome already.

Knock WoW all you want, that game allowed you an optional scientific analysis of what your skills do, and I absolutely loved that aspect. MMO players are to our formulas what sports fans are to statistics.

I agree with expanding the skill descriptions to have more information as the example in this picture displays.

Adding the base and the actual costs (magicka or stamina) would be nice too. So you can actually see the effect of "reduce stamina" / "reduce magicka" effects, e.g. glyphs and percentual reduction e.g. by passive abilities or set boni.

Yes, that would also be helpful.

I could see how it would be helpful for new players, but it seems kind of pointless for people that know how the game works. All class skills are magicka based and all weapons skills are weapon based. You can also already see your spell and weapon crit chance on the character window.

I'm not trying to be negative nancy or anything, but I feel like they could make other things more clear instead like giving us a % or numbers on how much spell resistance/armor actually mitigates damage.

If I remember correctly, there are/were nightblade skills working off weapon crit rather than spell crit and then there's the fighter's guild line which was only recently fixed.
    Fighters Guild

Damage from Silver Bolts, Expert Hunter, and Trap Beast is now based on stamina and weapon damage instead of magicka and spell power.
Stamina based skill was running off of Magicka and Spell power.

Sure, we know this now, after months of playing, even if some stuff was bugged and other stuff was broken for quite some time. And yet none of this information is available in the game. See the problem with the UI design there?

The game is complex enough without having to guess how things play out, or rely on rumors that sometimes turn out to be false.

I'm fine with a minimalist UI, but not with a UI that deliberately hides useful and essential information from me.

Holy crap of holy. In one post, you've brought your Agrees back over your LOLs. I confess, I am very surprised that this came from yourself. I even reverse searched the image in case you'd stolen it from another website. It would seem it is indeed your own work. This is...wow. I'm amazed. Kudos. May you make many more posts like this. :)

Except for exceptions. Is destructive touch spell crit or melee crit? How does it change when morped for range? What about impale? Ultimates scale with magicka/or stamina, what about their crit? What do mixed abilites scale with? Searing strike uses weapon crit for it's initial hit and spell crit for it's dot, bow abilities are stamina/melee crit for both initial hit and dot AFAIK and so on. Those things are based on completely arbitrary rules that never are actually explained in the game.

In any case, there is enough ambiguity here to warrant a tooltip update. All this information shouldn't be exclusively available outside the game. I don't expect full dps charts in the game natively, but I *do* expect the basics of the stuff I'm supposed to make a choice about, like gearing for what crit chance for instance.

This is TES! Not any other MMO.

It is a TES MMO. Some information would be very useful, like what to expect from an expensive respec between magicka and stamina, or what a decision to start wearing and leveling up a different kind of armor would actually do for you.

This kind of information is available in abundance for all other TES games. They have been analyzed to bits (literally) by fans and modders. However, most online information on ESO is either outdated, incomplete or just plain wrong. Not enough fans, perhaps. The amount of players playing Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim to the nub was really exceptional, and ESO does not have the same following.

lol u ever played Morrowind? it was full of different stats, I spend months calculating and theorizing how I would evolve my char, but they dumbed it down so much, until you got Skyrim ....
and ofc the info is needed, say u use alot of melee range class skills and put all your eggs in the spell crit basket, then you just shot yourself in the foot because you would assume it is spell crit, while in reallity its weaponcrit, that no TES magic, its just unlogical game design without any indication to know except physical testing which costs alot of gold (getting different gearsets and such)
