Character creation, does the stance make it hard for you?

We know how characters stance in character creator and in game is different.

I always seem to have this problem. I spend half an hour to make a character that looks natural only to find out tjhat in-game stance makes cgaracters look just proportionally wrong and un-natural.

I also see and know what parts of body are wrong but if i try to adjust them when doing character again, they still go wtong. My characters either look like skeletons or overly muscular, sometimes fat. Body proportions are allways wrong to my eye and i end up with unsatisfying results.

Anyoine else having this problem? Any tips?

I always have to make female arms skinnier than I think they should be, because if I don't they'll end up being very thick in game. So if I keep the slider close to the left end they look normal-ish. One click too far to the left and I'll have stick arms.

I don't know if it helps that I make my characters as short as possible, but other than the arms the proportions usually look okay.

Yes, the stance makes it really difficult for me. I don't even bother trying to get it perfect in character creation anymore, and instead just limit myself to 3 deletes of the character to test em out.

I also tend to use shortest possible since taller ones look "stretched" somehow.

Just spent 35 minutes about creating character and it looked amazing in creation screen, it was still decent while standing idle in game but in combat stance...

Looks like skeleton with too big shoulders and arms. If i adjust waist to look good in combat, it is too big in idle -_-

I have 2 deletes left, i hope i succeed with these. Back to sculpting-->

I learned that its best to just keep everything at the avg middle for the body. it makes everything proportionate imo.

Eyebrows are also a bit odd for me. It feels that most eyebrows are something for Vulcan instead of TES humanoids :D

I always forget about eyebrows. I gave my VR12 the wrong eyebrows and didn't realize it until way too late. Now all I can do is hope for a barber shop or a paid appearance change function.

Im sure somekind of barber shop will eventually come. My bet would be somewhere between half tofull year.

Wish i could also change my stance while in game to suit mood and character. This agressive stance does not fit my current kind character model at all :(

Yep. Just recently been trying to make a Breton. Have him at full muscular with smallest waist, gut and hips. Yet, when I get in game, that "V" shape is gone and is replaced by a blockish look. Especially noticeable with armor on.

I did it finally, Female character, overall setting between muscular and thin slightly to large. Shortest as can be, chest 1 click right, arms 3 left, hand 2 left, hip 1 right, posterous 3 left and feet 2 left. Im satisfied.

If only i could now set her stance in game to suit her character bio >_<

The only thing that has really bugged me is boobs and butt on women. I always get rid of all gut and make the hands and feet small but if I give the women any boobs or butt at all they double in size in game. I do find that once I have a body shaped the way I like it is a good idea to check them in veteran armor for all classes. That won't help how they look in combat stance but it does help discover misproportioned anatomy and whether they are too fat or too thin.
Scura di Notte - Altmer Nightblade (gear)
Lalin del Sombra - Bosmer Sorcerer (alchemy/enchanting)
    Angevin Sarkany - Bosmer Dragonknight
Alkemene Velothi - Dunmer Warden (Morrowind)
Sanna yos'Phalen - Altmer Sorcerer (provisioning)
    Cosima di Mattina -Altmer Sorcerer
    Naria Andrano - Dunmer Templar
Luca della Serata - Redguard Templar

I was mainly talking about natural looking bodies, not about Betty Boobs.

anyways.. Boobs bother me a bit too (No, dont read it THAT way), they seem to stretch outwards and in every situation, they seem to be too far apart in the midle. Especially with clothes that show litle clevage, they dont look natural. Smaller ones do look but the bigger the odd it looks.
