PvP Arena

I've been thinking for a while now that it would be great if they added a PvP Arena system to the game. Similar to the way it was in Oblivion where you could fight "waves" of enemies and become greatly rewarded the longer you last but mainly to actually fight other players in a small 1v1,2v2, and 3v3-based system where teams would be matched versus random parties (other alliances) and then would fight to the death (maybe 3 rounds for a conclusive evaluation of the best team. I think this would be a fun small PVP event where players all across Tamriel can test there team's communication and teamwork to achieve a spot on some leaderboards for bragging rights.
Additionally to this small-group combat system, There could be spectators for each match where during pre-games, players could bet on each side. The idea of watching such entertainment and to have a team to root for in a game would be very fun(in my opinion) but I posted here because I would like to hear everyone else's thoughts.

I know for sure that PVE Arena will be implemented, where you fight waves of enemies that are stronger with each wave(and so is the reward more epic) because they talked about it in a video at Quakecon if I'm not mistaken. I personally think both PVP and PVE arena should be in game.
Why? -Because It would feel like a true test, no limits except for your skill, a game where you are rewarded depending on your pure skill(I guess there would be no tactis(pve), so resourcefulness and quick thinking would be vital, which I would like the most).
And of course, more freedom to do what I want which is the vital part of any RPG.
I would also add those arenas for non-vets so they can level through it if they want.

Aww I must have misread something, til now I thought there was going to be smaller scale pvp. Must have been confused when I heard the word " arena" put out there, then read a reddit post with what I assumed was a discussion of things that were on the horizon, but was actually very confident speculation.
Hmm when they implement the justice system, maybe guilds could organize events with members on either side of the bounty system, find a suitable area, and have death matches. It wouldn't be exactly an arena system, but could be pretty fun if the idea was expanded upon

If they talked about implementing an Arena system, it's my fault for not paying attention to the quakecon vids but i was hoping it would be something more on these lines.

In patch 1.4 Paul said there will be a dragonstar arena which will be 4vX PvE arena.

But if there were ever a PvP arena, apart from the traditional 1v1,2v2,3v3 I'd like to see 1v1v1,2v2v2,3v3v3 for the three alliances.

I would like to see a mix of PvE and PvP Battles. Like a Random call for Monster or other Player. That would make the Arena more interesting, cause you have to form your Group and Skills against Player but as well against Monster.

Minimum Players should be 3v3, cause 1v1 and 2v2 is just never ever to balance and the board will get even more cries about unbalance.

i never even thought about 3 different groups fighting. that would be interesting.

I hope groups form of 3 rather than 4 because than you can't have all 4 classes together leaving one class behind which would make people really have to decide what they want to sacrifice.
