Trading Post's Bidding Question

Myself and the Guild was just wondering why the next bidding cycle is only 7 hours instead of being 7 days, is this because of a bug or something else? Also is it intentional to get gold back from losing a bid? Thank you

Not sure about the first question, but yes to the second one. If you did not win the bid, you get your money back. It's an auction bid, not a bet.
