Dragon knight melee dps

Hello,

I have looked for weeks and weeks for a decent dk melee dps build that can actually do the 700 dps valariel is requiring to beat. Is there anyone who can help me out on creating a build that does this kind of dps? Or is there anyone who has evidence of dk builds achieving this? As I currently have tried everything without submitting to firestaff/restostaff (I rather quit) and I am still not able to do more dps then 350.

Any help would be required as I am totally not enjoying this game when my character I have worked so hard on is not able to do content simply because the game doesn't let me do it, no matter what I change in my current setup.

I use an addon. I used recount before, now I use foundry tactical combat.

Grab a destro staff, a resto staff, and your finest dress and have at it.

I use a melee dps build and I can share it, I am only vet 3 ATM, so not sure if my build can pump out the dps you are looking for. However at vet 3 with all blue heavy armor and an epic 2 hander I can put out over 300 dps... I use CLS dps window to get that info...

Dress, fire stick, stack fire dots and maximize your spell crit using inner light, spell pots and set gear with spell crit. I wouldnt bother with melee, until they fix it.

This is what I use, I posted it on another thread complaining about "Elder Mages Online"

v12 DK
full medium armor
5 piece Hundings Rage 8% crit, added stam, 26 weapon dmg
3 piece ophidian 4% crit, added stam
3 piece berserking warrior 4%, every attack with 2h adds 2% crit
legendary 2h axe with 7% crit, total crit 44% before berserking/flames of oblivion 67% topped
210 weapon dmg before igneous and momentum ~250 topped

I also now have PvP buff which puts my crit around 64% before berserking and Flames. For Valariel 100% must use evil hunter, gives back stamina and does ~500 non-crit procs. It's so good even mages use it lol.

my bar looks like this; execute - carve- Flames of obilvion- unstable flames- evil hunter. Keep Dots up and EH, at 33% spam execute. It's much more skill based and requires that you swap between mana/stam pots, ring enchants to consider would be 5 seconds off potion CD. Though, I'm currently using all Spell damage to maximize on FoO and UF. My off bar has igneous weapons, keep that up too.

I've been able to get 600+ DPS through a dual wield build, but it's dependent on CC effects on the target (making use of passives like ruffian). This does not include banner damage (which means I could potentially hit that 700+). It'll work on trash mobs and mini-bosses, but it won't work on real bosses (where you need it to).

This is probably not quite as helpful as you would like, but I thought it might be helpful to know that you're not the only one with this difficulty. Melee dps is still not at the same level as magicka based dps. Cross dressing (stick and dress) may still be the only viable high dps solution.

I feel for you man, I also have a redguard DK exclusively melee, all based on stamina, all medium armor maxed out and 36% weapon crit.

Tears always come my eyes when I'm struggling on a boss or a group of 3, nearly dying because it takes so long to take them down. And 5 seconds later you have a staff and dress just rushing in head down, cast a couple of fire AoE and gets passed in 2s losing hardly any health.
