Guild Bank Limits?

Ameliae

As a guild master and having had ppl withdraw way too much or all of the bank items. Our guild wants to know if and when withdraw limits will be able to be create by the masters? We believe that this could benefit in many ways and secure the trust of newest members in the guild. I think that I had read this somewhere but now uncertain if it was an actual planned idea or another suggested idea. :)

I haven't heard of any plans with regards to withdraw limits, but you can set in the permissions who has the ability to withdraw and deposit in the bank.

guild banks are like a trust system, if you dont want people to withdraw to much, make it so you and some trade officers only can, so members need to ask to get something.

I have see numerous threads in the past, where a single member has withdraw everything and left guild. Remember as a guild master its your responsibility to keep what members trust you with in the guildbank

As has been said restrict withdrawals to yourself and officers. Most guilds do this, a quick pm\email is no bother to anyone.
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

My trading guild is doing just that.
With the new guild rank system we can even temporarily promote people to a interim rank so they can take out the stuff themself. And then just demote them to thier normal rank again.

If you do not trust somebody, don't give them the key to your house.
If somebody abuses your trust and cleans out the guildbank this might be a case of greifing, so consider reporting that person.
If enough reports come in about one Character, they will propably take action.

Yeah we have a few more ranks and once we really can trust ppl or they put a lot of effort into participating in the guild they gain withdrawal allowances. All other members just ask and yes it is not a bother at all. Just think it would also be a good optional idea so that your members can also feel as though they can just take what they need and not have to ask all the time. A limit of 10 items per 24hrs as an example wont hurt if they take too much and patterns could be seen so then they can drop to no withdraws or limited even more.

Even being able to have a few ppl be able to withdraw - so the few trusted ppl in your guild doesn't always play to truths. We just had 3 ppl - 2 very trusted 'friends' - withdraw most of all the 'good' mats and then leave. Its more frustrating and pissing me off that there are so many rude and disrespectful people playing this game. Having limits for all ranks would help reduce the amount of even trusted people that can have bad days and just leave completely with all the bank.

Its merely a suggestion and I personally think it could help with the guild system. :)

Our guild bank is just a place for people to dump their trash that others might find useful i.e. low value mats, recipes, loot pots etc.

I do however support the idea of withdrawal limits per rank, as I can see the issues for other styles of banking.

The "only give people access that you know you can trust" excuse for bad systems is such an overused, awful excuse for leaving things the way they are.

Aside from close friends or family, there's really no way of knowing just how well you can trust someone in your guild. And expecting the leader to keep tabs on upwards of 500 people just to see who gets access and who doesn't is beyond ridiculous. There's just no way at all. All the currently system allows is "I trust you, so you can have everything" or "I don't really know you, so while you're a member of the guild you get absolutely nothing.

Maybe, just maybe, instead of dumping full responsibility on the leader and officers to keep track of each individual person... maybe give us the option to set withdrawal limits from the guild bank? That way every member can actually benefit from the guild bank instead of only the select few who gained the leaders favor. That way the people you trust get more access, but people you don't really know so well can still use it without being able to steal everything.

You know, the way successful MMOs do it.

Exactly Reiterpallasch - I could not have worded it better. Glad to see some other people actually seeing my point here and having to rely strictly on your guild officer/s can become such a pain anyways.

They should separate the guild bank into quality tiers.
So there would be Base, Fine, Superior, Artifact, and Legendary sections in a guild bank.

Items deposited in the guild bank would automatically be placed in the relevant section, based on their own quality.
Then guild masters could fine-tune withdraw permissions, allowing members to help themselves to low value but useful items, while keeping the best stuff more closely guarded.

Obviously, it won't stop every jerk out there, but could seriously limit the damage.
    Spoiler
Opinions are like buttholes : Everybody has one, and they usually stink.

    3 things to reduce stamina/magicka imbalance :
    - Use magicka to block abilities costing magicka, instead of stamina.
    - Add % damage reduction to heavy armor.
    - Add block penetration to 2H.

It would be nice to be able to set daily limits for each rank. Having to manually approve each withdraw is a hugely tedious task for a guild officer.
