"Lock" an Item

Can we please get the ability to lock an item in our inventory and bank so it can't be sold or deconstructed?

I keep accidently deconstructing things in the bank I'm saving for research. I've seen this in a couple games before and it was super handy.

Not that I could find, but maybe I suck as searching for ESO addons.

There is definitely one that allows to lock items on ESOUI but unfortunately I forgot the name...

I found ItemSaver. It puts an asterisk next to items. I'd like to see something that completely removes it from the sell/decon list completely.

@nerrollus‌ it might be that one. I know there is one that allows to lock the item completely ;)

ItemSaver was the best I could find and it just marks items so it's easier to see which ones you keep. If you happen to run across it again somewhere let me know.

    Appreciate it

Yes please. A simple check box in the crafting UI saying "Hide bank items" should be possible without addons...

The only add on I use.

I found it difficult to grasp that my mob-killing, glyph-making, potion-brewing, puzzle-solving, damage-dodging, bad-dungeon-team-mate-healing character was not smart enough to distinguish that which was in his bag vs that which was on his body while at the vendor or decon station...

This helps remedy the issue, though I'm not sure it functions quite right after 1.3.

Until I got the Craft Store addon, this kept happening to me too,or I would fill up an inventory with things I did not need to keep just because it had a trait on it.

Once you get this, log in with each crafter and highlite the lines you want to track with that crafter. The description on the linked page tells you how to do this. Then, as you go through the game, it will tell you in Red Letters that if you need an item for research, even if it is with another characters. If you don't track the research, then the plug in will tell you an item is needed for research if any of your crafters have not researched it.

It can also tell you how long you have to finish research an item, upgrade your horse, what characters have what items for research. Its invaluable. Makes research much more efficient.

AddOns are all nice and whatnot, but this should really be in the game by default ...

In DDO you could lock any item in your inventory and it would be excluded from crafting and vendors. It would be nice if this functionality was added with the need of running another addon.

A toggle for seeing items in bank while crafting would be useful....just saying.

You already see that, your Bank Inventory is availible when your crafting. Unless your asking about something else, like hiding what you have in the bank. Which I can see as I have put things there for safe keeping only to deconstruct it later by accident.

Which is why I now give the most important re-searchable items to a Mule.

Probably deleting them, the only way I know of to deconstruct a tomato is with a hammer (ok, a knife will cut it too).

This helps remedy the issue, though I'm not sure it functions quite right after 1.3.

But you can distinguish if you pay attention. There's a bank and a bag icon in the top right of each item description to see if its in the bank or your inventory.

I use alts for this. Want to save the item? Put it in the bank, log out, log in alt, take it out, log out, log in main, go decon everything I want. NO chance of deconning that item. It's a bit of a chore, but nothing gets deconed that I don't want.

I primarily use this tact because I had a lot of items that I wanted to save for trait research and there were just too many. (Cheapest option is to dump items onto an alt than buy the 60 bank inventory or bag upgrade slots!)

I agree though. There needs to be an extra inventory tab (like junk), "mark the item as safe". Nothing in the safe tab shows up at the crafting tables. I'd rather have that tab than the junk tab. To me the junk tab is useless.
