Completed Quests?

Is there any way to know if I have completed a quest? If I mouse over some places in the world I can see I did and if I get an achievement but if I'm in Vulkel Guard I can't see if I have finished a mage quest or not unless one is active.

I am having a lot of trouble in Cheesemonger's Hollow with a level 9 mage. I know I did this quest with another character but I can't figure out if it was the other mage or the nightblade because nothing shows up anywhere. If I knew it was the mage, maybe I could figure out what I'm doing wrong this time. If it was the Nightblade then she has a different skill set.

The tips in the death recap are not much help saying things like bring a friend if it is hard (it's a solo dungeon) or use fire resistence since the scamps are burning you up. It's frustrating since I managed to get all the way to the end but kept dying by Gutripper so I backed out to see if I could re-equip. When I went back in I'm now having trouble with the blasted scamps.

I think I am doing something wrong with Encase because it doesn't seem to do anything and I have yet to figure out Interrupt. Do I have to be in their face to Interrupt? That seems somewhat reckless when I'm so squishy.

Completed quests are mostly lost in space except for those that give achievements or are marked on your map.

There is no quest log ...

Unfortunately yes. But don't interrupt when they channel the area attack, just step out of the way and use this time to bring their health down.

You could try a frost staff. I'm not sure, but I think it will work on Gutsripper too.

Thank you. This is a lot easier to figure out in Skyrim and there is the wiki if one is thoroughly stumped.

Silver Bolts will knock Gutsripper down. If you have enough stamina, you can perma lock him on the ground and use spells or a stave to wear him down.

Thanks, muchly. I had to look Silver Bolt up. I forgot that Fighter's Guild had something good to use on daedra and undead and I never got around to joining them. I will remedy that. I already figured out that my other mage relied a lot on both crystal blast and destructive reach w/fire staff to keep baddies at bay and the knockdown still works even on scamps.
