I don't generally complain to much nor do I make excuses. However the forums are the gamers only way to express their frustrations. Flaming a complaint is not the way to go when someone expresses their opinions, even when they differ from yours. Some of the most critical gamers are voicing their opinions because they love this game the most, and want to see it succeed the most. Some complaints are valid, and some are just silly, but would still make the game a better place. The community is only toxic to those who make it that way. If you complain I challenge you to offer a solution! Be constructive and the devs will listen. Stay on topic and come together to get things done, don't take shots at each other. Sometimes its more constructive to just agree to disagree. The dev team was slow to go off the bat, but seems to have hit it's stride. They, ZOS, were faced with a large learning curve and have seem to finally gotten ahead of it.
Some things I would like to see from the devs are, I would like to see more immediate action taken when something is broken ie hotfixes. I would like to see more interaction from them on the forums and with local fan sites. I would like to see a dedicated class specific forums. An easier way to get to the suggestions and feedback forums. Incentives in live for those who go in and provide feedback on the PTS.
The game is visually stunning, and they are not yet satisfied which is awesome and love that they are constantly making improvements. The quests are fun and engaging with a wonderful story that makes me feel like I am part of a good novel, however the game does still have an abundance of dressed up kill this/deliver that type quests that I hope they change in the future. BoTs and zone spam are gone for the most part and mail spam is far and few between which is nice compared to the beginning of the game so ZoS hats off to you! Bugs still exist but most are gameplay issues that have nothing to do with the story or quest lines. TBH it seems that most of the bugs are player created through either impatience while clicking through quests text to fast vs reading it desynching it, or phasing issues. PvP is fast paced and fun although a bit zergish at times it is a lot of fun. It still has a bit of bugs they need to work out as well as balance issues, but things have slowly gotten better. They are doing a great job at being transparent with known issues and gathering feedback. They are also doing a good job at telegraphing fixes and updating statuses.
Some Ideas and glaring issues.
-Werewolves broken top to bottom. I really hope we get a complete rework of the skill line to make it similar to Vamps but with its own distinct flavor.
-Magicka vs stamina and gear balance. Just go ahead and change the way the damage scales similar to the way you did with the ultimates and rework the defensive mechanics a bit so that things balance out.
-Blocking and casting. I have no problem with this I would just like to see a penalty to the outgoing damage while blocking. Maybe a 25% nerf to outgoing damage while blocking?
-Bows I am not sure what happened here with the last patch but yeah lol its breaking and often. This is a technical issue and have no real opinion that would help.
-PvP lag and lack of more 30 day campaigns. One more 30 day campaign should help with lag and que times
-LFG should offer an extra loot bag with a set pieces so that it encourages people to use it more. I would also make it so that you can que for more than one dungeon at a time so that groups can be formed more quickly. Also adding in a daily random dungeon that stacks to 5 would be nice too. Make it give lots of gold and exp/vrexp and loot bags. I would also like to see an exp bonus when you use the LFG tool.
-Crafter boards. I would like to see boards that people can post up jobs that crafters can take. this would help crafters easily find the traits they need from other crafters as well as boost the economy. Its pretty simple I need some gold for a respect so I go to the boards and see that I can make a few items that have traits people need so I make them and send them off in the mail for whatever price they were willing to pay. You can also put up want to trade jobs. I would keep any direct selling of materials, food, drinks, potions, and found sets to the guild ah though.
Just a few suggestions and ideas, lots have been mentioned before. Either way Don't flame people who want a better game, don't accept mediocrity, and give credit where credit is due!
