WebGet Request Failed/error 102
if its not one its the other WebGet Request Failed/error 102
game hasnt worked since the last patch, ive had to un install the whole thing and im trying to download, its took 24hours to get to 20% now it wont do anything or if it does it appears to go back to 8% or start again!!!
Support is hopeless, anyone actually know how to fix this ? or over come this issue in the past ?
update: not manifest error its error 102 invalid meta file or webget request failed

Requiemslove✭✭✭I am getting error 102 too. Going to try support. Hope I get an answer to this. Trying to patch the game after the latest update but its telling me I have an invalid metafile as I try to "repair" the darn thing.
I closed the client, started it up again now all of a sudden I have to download over 3000 MB of stuff. WTF. I am confused because the launcher already DID that when I stated it up earlier before I got the metafile problem so WTF is going on with this...Edited by Requiemslove on August 8, 2014 1:44PM0 -
mine started like that, the patch messed something up, so i couldnt patch, they told me to un install!
so i did ....i know its there issue not mine i just wish i dint listen to them because they will fix it eventually but atleast i could have just patched in a few days but now i have to do the whole thing...
its so frustrating they cant just say ...you know what yep we screwed up the launcher, download in a few days we will refund the game time back.
But no, lets have a laugh and tell them to un install and make them run around like headless chickens trying all sorts of stuff that wont fix it because its our client.0 -
Requiemslove✭✭✭So are you saying me waiting on this darn thing to sort itself out will not fix the issue? Only that sucks if its the case. Support answers this issue by stating its a web connection issue only I know that's BS because my web is BT, which for me has been pretty damn consistent in connectivity. My internet does not go down, the worst I have had was WiFi issues but I sorted those and have web access now on multiple devices. If anything sometimes I get worried I keep my internet on too much as the hub gets quite hot sometimes.0

i personally dont think its anything our side, i believe it is there server side and there client,
if i were you, from experience wouldn't uninstall, i would wait over the next few days for the patcher to update as and when they push fixes,updates, re installing did not help me, im worse of for it and other people have also stated re install doesnt work.
there is nothing wrong with my pc its very decent, my internet is slow but ONLY when trying to download something to do with eso..
none of this started untill the last patch, i could even play on the PTS just fine, and judging by the reports of other client issues i would say YES its them.
Im glad my sub runs out in 2 days, i would be even more furious if i were paying the whole month for this crap.0 -

My sub was renewed a few days ago. I want to stick the course as I feel in time the whole thing can and hopefully will be better as they introduce new content and fixes. But if I am honest things like this make it all the more hard for me to WANT to stick the course. Seriously they need to fire some people at that company and become fixated with quality. If they intend to keep this a sub based MMO it needs to be of high quality in all areas and that has not been my experience honestly. Its now 5 months in since launch. I am beginning to lose patience in Zenimax.

track record isnt good is it,
and the only responses i get is re install, and trolls saying its our pc or internet... like thats not even funny anymore..
you dont have to be a genius to work out it out, just look at all the problems people are posting about the client errors since this last patch.

I know. I keep telling myself Zenimax are new to making MMOs and everyone has to start somewhere, even the likes of Blizzard, and the people behind EQ had to start from somewhere. How long I keep deluding myself things will get better is anyone's guess. I have a LOT of patience and am very stubborn. I am a Taurus its my thing to be a stubborn bugger. That said even phenomenal patience has its limits.

Requiemslove✭✭✭ranges from 750-850 KB. Kinda slow but I am only on the normal BT package. If I had infinity it would be around 4 mb. If I were on Infinity 2+ it goes up to something like 20-40 MB. At least that's what BT states. Reality is often different due to traffic etc. Still its much better than what I used to have, using a contract 3 mobile dongle used to suck. With that I would be LUCKY to hit 250-300 KB, and even luckier to be able to download all that much seeing as everything you download eats into your amount of GB you purchase. Thankfully I have unlimited downloads now.0
