Ill give you the anchors since not everyone can solo them, but you threw in all of vr stonefalls? Not to be 'that guy'. But you really need to look at your build if you cant solo the normal quest in vr content now.

Bots and gold spammers is the main reason why I tend not to play ESO as much as I would have wanted to. Other reasons are this game is not as I imagined it should be, yet a lot of that will hopefully be redressed and I WOULD like to play more. So if anyone can give me definitive proof that bots are at least 90% reduced that would be good news.

This makes me giggle. Give me definitive proof. Ill ask you a question, can you give me definitive proof that bots were a problem? Before you link threads or pictures of bots, remember i can link pictures with no bots and threads thank zen for nerfing bots.
About the only thing i would consider as close to actual proof is that at one time 100k gold was around 18 us dollars. It is about 53 us dollars now. But that isnt really proof either because ZoS might have just nerfed the really easy places to bot gold. The same number of bots might still exists.
Definitive proof, still makes me giggle.
Perhaps at higher levels, that's the case. I'm running three alts, all under 40, and not one of them has earned enough yet to purchase the cheapest horse.Shizashane wrote: »I find it intriguing how people think they can make money on a game in which gold is basicly thrown at you.
helle everyone,
has the population dropt in Tamriel? I was offline for 3 mounths because there were to many hackers.
where there such a high number of hackers that the population is this low, or are allot of players not playing anymore.
sorry for my bad English

I expected that much of the bot issue was gold sellers trying to get in quickly and intensely to get a good supply of materials and gold before Wildstar came out. I understand they are now in Wildstar and will probably bleed that game to death until the next game comes out before they move on. The gold sellers do not have unlimited resources, so I was guessing that they would hit new games hard at the onset and back off as other games required attention.
There are still gold sellers in the game. I know where they hang out and I do occasionally see one. They tend to blend in better. Bot farmers seem to be gone, or in places I do not go.
In the first month, there was a massive blob of players all in the place in the game progression. Dark anchors were easy to get groups together simply because there were so many people around. I only saw a couple level 50 veteran rank players in the first month. I never did a group dungeon, but I would imagine it was easy to get people.
Now you cannot sneeze without a veteran rank person yelling "Gesundheit!" (yes, I have used that joke before).
The players are now spread out across 50 levels and 12 veteran ranks. There are still a lot of people round, but waiting is often required for enough people to do an anchor and sometimes there are only three of us (which is really fun and can be challenging if we are all level appropriate).
I still farm the starting areas, with a level appropriate character. There are a ton of low level characters doing quests in those areas, along with a few people farming low-level materials there. No bots.
I used to see bots harvesting nodes and farming delves absolutely everywhere I went, every time I logged in. Now I don't think I've seen a single one in weeks.Requiemslove wrote: »Question. Are the bots REALLY gone, or just less evident?

I no longer receive emails from goldah asking me to pay real money for ingame items. i dont see bots huddled around bosses waiting for respawn. I seldom encounter a resource(orc, weeds, flowers, etc) that doesnt actually exist there. If it does, it might be someone else nearby that i simply cant see. Might not be in my phase lets say. I think they mostly got it, and are getting better.

Alleged.
I'm definitely not a "doom sayer" or anything. Love the game and see tons of people in Riften all the time. But no one knows where they got that number, it's not official. Also, if you've been watching steamcharts.com, there are never more than 2000 people playing ESO, so you're probably not going to see a huge difference with Steam users (I have yet to see that damn wolfhound!). Again, just putting things in perspective. I think the game is healthy and doing well.
