corrosive armor 3000 damage ???? pvp bug ???

i just fight 1 dk and i drop her so easy using Heated Blades
but just before she die , she use corrosive armor and i die in 1 hit and she blinds
i feel is got something not normal there btw my spell rest is cap

No this is not OP or any of that.. its really simple.. Magma/Corrosive armor both do damage over time..on my V12 DK its like 279 sec for 10.8 secs.. the damage there on your death recap is the total damage taken from it.. prolly all 10.8 secs.. next time your fighting a DK and they dont drop a standard on your head and look all fiery and red.. back up!! its Corrosive armor!! The Best Tank Ult in the game! Also I see you took over 500 in burning damage.. mine ticks like 50-60 a sec.. so another way to tell you had a 10 sec fight.. and 289 from cinder storm.. which does 30 damage a sec... Ok no offense here.. but it looks like you had a DK all in your face for 10 secs and you just stood there in their cinder storm "big bubbling fire" and let them burn you down.. all the while decreasing your damage "corrosive armor" giving you miss chance "cinder storm" and and beating you down with 2 handed atts.. yeah..um... not a good idea to try and go toe to toe against DKs unless you are 1.. Ive had some good 1v1 DK fights.. or are a tank of the other classes .. which may not wanna try it often.. I will suggest playing 1 of each class.. at least for a few lvls to learn the differences between them and learn the strengths and weaknesses of each.. Good luck out there!

I got hit by a Volley attack from a NPC that did close to that sort of damage (2700+ if I remember rightly) instantaneously.

I have not experienced anything of the sort myself, but from reading the comments it seems to me as though the bug might be that dots deal all of their potential dmg at once, instead of it being spread out over their duration.

It is not a bug with the Damage at all. Its a bug the way its shown on the Recap Window and lag on your end.

Its a Dot, which means it took almost 10 secs for that 3,000 damage to effect you. Don't stand there.

There was an issue in PTS where Magma Armor was doing 3k a tick. They say they fixed it but I'm seeing too many reports all out of a sudden about Magma Armor to believe it's fully fixed.

Anyhow, in your case it's not the bug that killed you. As others said Magma Armor does ~200+ DoT tick. Cinder Storm does for me ~30+ DoT tick and there's definitely no bug with Cinder Storm. The fact you took nearly 300 dmg from Cinder indicates you stayed in that room and probably right next to the DK for the full 10 secs which would explain the 3k dmg from Magma Armor.

The only issue I see with MA is that it has no obvious animation considering it's an ultie. On top of this, it has not been very popular with DKs (because they all used banner till now) so people are only now waking up to the potential of it. It's great for 1v1 fights when you close gap to the opponent constantly.

I heard about this as well.
Only through the rumour mill, that the longer you are in PvP and the closer you are too crashing the more likely/chance of your skills stacking up in damage.
Personally I don't know if i've ever been responsible, but yesterday alone ESO (cyrodill) did crash 4 times on me (submitted reports everytime) but I did wonder, did any of my skills stack damage before...
I don't think anyone would want to get done over for an exploit/glitch they don't know about.

my class is dk
right after the patch more player spam corrosive armor and not magma shell
yes this dk make me some damage but i use dragon blood and use potion
and she blinds because i spam Heated Blades right after she spam
corrosive armor i die before she do anything anyway not only me got this issue now

I hope it was just all the DoT was calculated. if that's the case, pay close attention to the DK. if you see them get covered in some kind of lava like cloak, move. not all DKs use banner

The death recap shows ALL the damage from a dot PLUSED together. Not seperate. So for example: if u stand in a aoe that does 100 damage for 10 secs. It won't show 100,100,100,100,100 etc. It will just show u took 1000 damage.
