Imperial red diamond

is it possible to make re diamond work with staffs for us imperial sorcerers?

Maybe it's possible, but I dont think it's necessary. Other Imperial passive is health and stamina boost. As a mage you dont need stamina. So Imperial it's a melee race (like redguard). Of course you can play as you want but I think this passive good as it is.

To do a melee attack (or red diamond in this case)do that mean you need to be in melee rang(s/s dual, 2handed) or/and it must be read 5 of reach on the skill to do a melee attack?

May CHAR is a imperial templar and I am using Aedric Spear. My main weapon is a restoration staff. My doubt : whenever using Puncturing Strikes with a staff, would this be a Malee attack? I was wondering if under Red Diamond Skill, using staff and puncturing strikes would recover health.

Puncturing strikes is an ability (which are viewed as spells), so it's never viewed as a melee attack.

The staff doesn't enter into the equation.

But staffs as equipable weapons should count as ranged attacks.

Wrong.... My Imperial Templar procs the red diamond very consistently with puncturing strikes. I get ridiculous healing with the puncturing sweep morph.

To the OP, I am pretty sure that the staff will not proc red diamond, but I will test it out later today.

Really, I guess I misunderstood what they meant by melee. It should be non-ranged weapons only, that's what a melee is, heavy close fighting.

Well, they changed it with the IC patch. And where the hell did you find this thread? The post before you was in Sept 2014, of course the info here is completely out of date.

Caltrop's does not proc anything that require's melee attack's anymore.
