Templar Rune Focus

Ok, so Im not exactly new anymore, but thought this was the right place to ask anyway. I have been playing my templar exstensively now both PvE (mostly levelling) and then a lot of AvA.

So, what I've been wonder and quite seem to figure out is when I cast rune focus (or any of its morphs) do you have stand in it or is like a buff, stuck to the character? I have always thought it as a buff, but the graphics is just there on the ground. And since templars have a lot of rituals and stuff I have feared it was a circle like the ritual or the ring from fighters guild. Now I just want to be sure, havent been using it a lot but with the buff to our sun shield a rune focus would makes us ahem very annoying to deal with for most magicka builds.

Thanks for any insights!

If it says area, then you have to be in the circle to get the buffs that are applied to the character. However, you don't have to be in the circle if the effect is on the enemy, as long as they are in the circle, then they are affected by the spell.

To get the healing and armor/spell resist bonuses you have to stand in the circle though, you do not have to stand in the circle to get the magicka from Channeled Focus morph.

Damn! That sucks major balls. Bad skill then (for pvp at least) and the area is SO small
