Answer to our poor Market.

I used to play a game called Nexus TK. Very fond of that game but it's way past its prime. The markets were good when it was in its prime. It did not have an AH and no trade chats or anything like it.

There was an actual Market Place. There was also an in game forum. While playing the game you could open the forums. There was a section for RP Events, Community Events, Player Events, Community Forum and Discussion, and lastly Market.

People could post what goods they have to sell. People could post what goods they were looking for. There was little Spam for selling in zone chats. People could go to the market place and show their wares in a way that nobody could steal them and they were in a market stall so their purpose was obvious.

I propose this.

Give us an in game forum. Separate it by topic and have trusted players moderate it so you don't have to pay for people to moderate it. There are MANY would would do this.

Give us a connected market place available for all levels. Naturally don't let the factions mingle.. They can mingle through the guild stores already.

This is my thoughts on how we could fix the zone spam.

Also make the market place near a park so we can hop on a carousel after a hard day of trade.

or we can just wait for the guilds to go live tomorrow and see how the new kiosk system works out

Kiosk is a neat idea but ultimately how many people want to go looking for each vender throughout the world. Having a market town would be a lot more fun.

Guild trade may be fine (I guess) if you are in a the guild, but if not? I have no intention of joining a guild. Ever. Been there in other games and it just sucks. Too damn much politics and personal crap. So a marketplace sounds appealing. But, I don't think you can have your own personal stall, not enough real estate in the game world. Something along the lines of a stall for all sellers of a specific item type, be something of an AH style. That could work.

I believe your definition of 'dynamic' and my definition of 'dynamic' are two very different things.

A global auction house is not subject to constant change and fluctuation, nor would I say that it's a force that stimulates change or progress within a system or process. If anything, it standardizes processes, reduces the amount of fluctuation and change, and creates stability in general.

If you said a 'truly stable economy', I would be more inclined to agree (but even then I'd point out that global auction houses are more subject to severe fluctuation and abuse with exploits and/or patches ... even if the process themself is more stable).

Or maybe we're talking 'dynamic' as in action packed. As in you put an item on the market, and someone puts an item in exactly one penny lower than you because they are using bots to automate their bidding process. That's pretty dynamic, for sure.

Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

Um, isn't that what the kiosks are going to address--people who aren't in a guild can now access guild stores via kiosk.

Give it a chance before we decide it won't work.

I do like the idea of an game forum/bulletin board deal, though. It would be a good place for persistent, universally accessible event announcements, and an alternative, Craigs-listy way to sell things and communicate--especially if it had easy, clickable links to quickly respond to people in-game.

I do not ever want anything in this game "moderated" by any players.

Okay the Players Moderating could go wrong with such a large population. But the in game forums everyone would agree would be a very good thing.

We could advertize hunting groups so we can find groups easier for dungeons and caves.

    Just a thought.
