Mr. Sage, isn't this what you wanted to avoid with dye on weapons?

It might not even look as pink as it is in the firelight (it's night out now in the game so I ran inside). I thought I remember you saying something about how silly it would look to have people running around with big pink swords (almost like you thought it would look like something else other than a sword). Well, with the new patch - my nice steel colored sword that matched my armor is now pink.

Please add the option to at least tint weapons to different metallic shades that aren't as many as the armor dyes (and let us dye shields).

This did not effect just this one weapon - my cool steel v12 dominion shield is now pinkish/teal/purplish, my dom axes are dark blue (not horrible at least) my quivers all became that dark bluish tint, and I have this cool heavy armor set for my tank that my shield doesn't come close to matching now b/c it's all indigo/mauve colored now.

Thank you for the dyes and customization ZoS, but like all good gamers, I want more I guess. At this point it feels kind of half done and in some cases worse.

It may not have been the intention, but you managed to capture your sword at a time where it looks pretty awesome, if you ask me. :)

Weapons and shields should be dye-able, even if it's only to a certain extent. The V12 weapons are almost all purple, which doesn't go so well with my red and black armor.

I guess nobody read the actual post (understandable because I babble on) - but I'm standing by a fire because it is night time and it's making the sword have a more orangish tone in the image. Trust me, it's closest to pink in color. I tried to take a screen shot on the character select screen, but it didn't seem to work. Several guild mates have seen it on their monitors as well, it's definitely not copper colored like this, that would at least be better than pink. Will update with better pic when I get better lighting later.

    As I see it:
The main color is a rusty brown tone.
The blade and ornaments have a tone that could be pink (not quite sure).
The protisions from the blade seem orange-ish.

Since you told us yourself this image was not made in neutral Color light, it is hard to tell how much is the blade and how much the environment.
Also, what is this sword called? What Name/Style/Level is it?
Would make it possible for others to check if they have that issue with that sword too.

Blades that were once steel colored are now tinted. Dark blue and gold were the VR12 armor colors before the patch. Steel tinted swords are now dark blue.

This better be a bug. If I have to run around with brightly colored swords, I'd rather they be lightsabers.

Depending on the shade of red, it might look really good with purple ;)

But yeah, it would be cool to be able to dye weapons. I don't anticipate having that ability anytime soon. In all seriousness if you have something metal, i.e. heavy armor, dye shouldn't really be able to change the color. But it depends on the process, and anyway I'm glad that the heavy armor users weren't left out.

At the very least, the option to choose between previous colors, i.e the grey colour of iron weapons or the bronze color of dwarven.

I agree with allowing at least some weapon/shield colouring with dye's. The look of my arrow quiver doesn't match a whole lot, unless I stay with brown. :P

I hear being unable to distinguish between pink and orange is a common form of colorblindness.

Well, if I could figure out how to screen cap the character select screen (I'm new to PC) I could get a pic in even light. I think it is supposed to be a copper like a previous poster said, but in good white light it looks pink, in firelight it looks as you see it and in good sunlight it looks copper from some angles. The rest of the sword is actually just a steel color (prob looking rusty b/c of the fire light again). I guess I should have really waited until I got a good pic.

My request to ZoS still stands, we should get a small assortment of weapon colors to choose from.

The sword is a V8 argonian two-hander sword, might be blue or purple upgrade, not on game right now to check.
