Upping the PVP stakes

There have been numerous threads on extending PVP to PVE areas and alot of concern about balance in the current PVP environment.

How does this idea float, remove immunity to AoE attacks for your own side in PVP. This would remove all the ground zero (oilpots, impulse etc) attacks and might just make players to be a little more tactically minded. Maybe not deal full effect/damage but enough to make it risking to just nuke at your team mates feet.

But this is an online game with other people, which means there are plenty of trolls who would intentionally kill people on their own side just for the fun of it then say "oh sorry, misclick" or just laugh. I am not sure if this is a good idea.

You would handle it like a first person shooter (online games as well) if someone contributed to the deaths of x players in y amount of time, they get kicked from Cyrodiil for z amount of time for team killing/being an idiot/troll. That solve that problem?

This would completely wreck the impulse spam trains that everyone complains about btw :)

I like this idea a lot.

It'd be especially nice for smaller and skilled groups taking on bigger groups.

Well, that sounds reasonable, but it can be very hard to attack occasionally - but it might make it more fun! Also, some trolls "on the other side" might just group up and keep running in your AoE intentionally just to get you kicked.
But nothing is perfect, and I am a healer so I wouldn't mind either way, but it sounds fair.

<evil grin> ah well, I guess something always ends up being nerfed when you make a change.
