Frequent game crashes in Cyrodiil since patch

Like at least 7 times today, always when I bumrush a zerg, so helpful.

    Every 20-30 minutes, regardless of circumstance. I actually even crashed once just sitting at the spawn area while eating my dinner.

    More instability every patch, its getting old fast.

    Same here. 0 crashes, and even less lag/stutter in crowded cities in PvE zones, but as soon as I went into Cyrodiil tonight I got over 6 crashes - about every 30 min.

    I crashed several times in Thorn last night. My favorite was the one that mimics a list internet connection where everyone is frozen in place except you and you cannot interact with anything.

    I crashed repeatedly in Chillrend yesterday. Way worse than usual.

    What if you like having one of those cushions underneath your mouse wrist? That hard edge of the macbook might hurt against your wrist after a while.

    Maybe if they didn't make it beneficial to stand on top of one another, the server would be able to handle these numbers...can't take away the illusion of skill from the pvers though...

    crashed a minumum of 5 times last night in 5 hours.
    Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
    Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
    Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
    Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
    Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
    Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
    Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

    Ahh here we go again. Players must sound off to make sure they are not over the number cap in any particular area. Huge zergs are not my preferred play style but this is in no way the players fault.

    ... obviously you are either new to rvr, or havent noticed that the servers were fine the first month, and have slowly got worse over time as more and more zergs form up impulse blobs.

    the moment the blob disperses, via death or whatever, the lag instantly clears.

    its not rocket science.

    No I've played plenty but to blame it on the players is just crazy. If Zenimax's servers can't handle the population then lower the server caps until its stable. You can't blame players for getting on and playing.
    On a side note I also blame the zerg play style on Zenimax as well.

    i dont know how to explain this to you in any clearer english, but ill try.

    the servers are fine with the same population. it is only when half the population forms zergballs that the server cannot handle it due to sheer processing bandwidth as it attempts to calculate the radii of dozens of impulse and other spells on a moving clump.

    when both db and wabba were full, only wabba had the lag, because db groups werent doing the blob thing despite having the same pop.

    i hope this cleared it up for you. zergs are fine, zergballs cause lag and bring servers down.

    Crashed about 5 times in 3 hours today. Before the patch i had crashed maybe 3 times in a month.

    as time progresses, more and more of these zerg guilds form up zergballs, because they think its the only way they can compete, thus the server is degrading over time.

    Let me try to explain to you. IF you let x number of players on the server your equipment better be able to handle all of them in the same place if it can't then lower the number.
    If your game mechanics are set up to favor large groups of impulse spammers your servers better be able to handle it.
    You can not, well in your case I guess you can, blame players for this. No one is hacking No one is breaking the tos with the "blob" play style hell Zenimax has encouraged this playstyle with many of their design decisions. Its Zenimax problem to fix not the players.

    no, the server could originally hold 2k players, and never once did ANYONE think that meant on the same screen. you obviously have no knowledge of the technology you speak of, and thus shouldnt.

    one thing tho you did have correct, is that its up to zenimax to remove the ae caps so the blobs will die, thus fixing the problem.

    Ahh so your saying there is a rule that says you must not all go to the same spot such as flag, breach in a wall etc etc or a game mechanic that stops to many players from going to one area? If not its Zenimax fault not the players. Also not sure what my knowledge or lack of knowledge about any technology has to do with this. It was Zenimax not me who set population caps of the game, who encouraged everyone to "blob" maybe its their lack of knowledge of the capabilities of their system you should be questioning. I'm just a player as long as I play within the rules the game should be stable if not its on Zenimax not me.

    Listen I think we actually agree that this play style sucks I would like nothing better than a removal of the AoE cap but this is a monster that Zenimax made and trying to shift the blame from Zenimax to the player base is wrong. Zenimax has made one poor design decision after another in regards to RvR the fault lies squarely with them.

    I'm not sure if it has to do with AOE caps

    My Guildie and Me were playing last night, every time i'd crash first, and then he'd say "I'm going to crash next watch" and sure enough within a minute of me getting back in, he'd usually crash as well.

    Yea my two friends crashing every 30 minutes or so ram usage goes up to 70+ % in a short time they both have 8gigs, I have 16gigs and my ram usage increase is much slower it seems.
    The return of the memory leak it seems :(

    Crashed only once and that was after I enjoyed playing the game immensely. I was done for the night, hit logout, then bam, crash window pops out asking me optionally to provide some information what I was doing before the crash.

    Games are meant to be played.

    Back in Auriel's Bow 1.0, I have thought that the best way to handicap a faction with the HUGE pop advantage is to temporarily disable their grouping functionality and their ability to fight in 3rd person point of view! Let's see if these do not even up the odds.
