I started, and my orc/sorc, Mol gro Durga just wants to look like ... well like he can get in there and fight.

Here is the original armor:



Looks functional. Good. Then things got complicated. The breton pauldons became too ornate to be reasonable (for him). So changes had to be made. The bosmer spikes on his pauldons are a bit much, but it was the best I could find:



Well, I hoped that would be it with the weird extra detail - but it was not to be. You can see here the shoulders keep getting ornate - and this version of "gold" armor was the closest I could get to color-coordinated (but Fianna, standing next to Mol here, likes it, so that's okay).



And now here's the latest version, which came out originally in yellow and blue (yellow and blue? Really? How it that proper armor for an Orsimer?). Standing next to Mol is Caern Fae Caemaire, the smith who made it - it's wonderful armor, just needed a dye job to calm it down.



And finally, after the dye job (with Fianna Kingsley - healer, partner/second, and beloved):

Edit: Yeah, it's mostly Imperial. I'm using light Imperial shoulders, legs, and belt; medium Imperial chest and boots; and light Daerdric helm and gloves.

Belt (which you can't really see in this pic) - Dunmer

Fianna is wearing the Healer set in this pic (I think it's breton) but the gloves and belt look altmer.

That Breton greaves... I usually hate Bretons (so PLAIN old-knights looking), but some pieces are just bad-ass.... Thanks!

PS: @ZOS_GinaBruno Can we have "shopping window" mode for crafters? One that can CLEARLY show motif preview during crafting? Instead of trying to Google stuff up or (worse) figuring out the tiny icon...

@Davadin I get screenshots by just taking them and cropping with Microsoft ... something - office ? Something with a red icon. My sweetie has a mod that lets you disable the entire HUD in order to take clutter-free shots. This was probably one he took.

ah u can bind a key to disable UI, I can get that.

But yes, if somebody else took it, that makes sense. If you don't have such lovely person (ie. gotta do it yourself) you end up with such basic angle... either straight up front or... kinda cropped the leg. Which is a bit of my pet peeve (i like selfies)(it's an Asian thing LOL).

i just tweaked my graphic with SweetFX. It's... not really an armor or dye screenshot, but a regular old (stolen) civilian clothings. ... but that backdrop and details.......... mmmmmmmhmmm.........

Another thing to make the pics a little better is to use an /emote just prior - the poses are less 'static' looking (occasionally really dorky, but keep trying).

o yea i got the whole emote thing. thanks!

but its the angle that i don't like. like, say i want a full body shoot, i have to rotate and zoom far out enough that it loses some details, because the pivot is the head instead the center of the body...

Oh well. I wish we can have a free flight camera mode, even at the cost that my char will be 100% frozen...

I don't see how that can be a heavy dunmer chest - it looks like a robe, which would be light.

chest looks heavy. might be a heavy chest and light pants? I dunno. yes, i know light chest (robe) would cover top to bottom. dunno just guessing stuff.

It is heavy dunmer armor indeed and light armor Daedric pants, which are the only 'robe-like' pants with aether ones I think.

Heavy Dunmer chest with light Daedric pants, which basically is a skirt. The Dunmer and Daedric style fit very well together, most people think its one piece but its not.
