Crushing Glyph + Sharpened --- OVERKILL

Suntzu1414
Thank you for taking the time (to read this post).

I'm looking at making a new set of armors/weapons.
My main focus is PvP. My Class is NB

I'm typically fighting against: DK (heavy armor)

Looking at creating a new set of armors/Weapons (glyph):

1. Weapons - Crushing Glyph (total 1200 removed)
2. Armor - Magica

---Question--Which Traits (for armors / weapons):

a Sharpened (to counteract ---my enemies--- Impenetrable (crit resist))
OR
b Infused (to give more magica)

-->Will the Sharpened help counteract my enemies Impenetrable? or because i have reduced their armor effect to nil (its not necessary)

Infused is no brainer because it gives me more power + more throughput (on Magica). But, if its not translating into DPS, then i would go with Sharpened.

thank you

I thought V12 Glyph of Crushing only removes 600 armor or am I missing something? And they do not stack. Two weapons or even 1 weapon triggering twice, only removes 600 armor. They also do not stack with any other armor lowering trigger (Night Mother’s Gaze -Critical attacks also reduce the targets armor by 20% for 5 seconds)

If the target has 600 armor over the current armor soft cap, Glyph of Crushing does little.

Almost everyone in PVP wear sets with full Impenetrable (70% crit resist, Sorcs can't crit on you and therefore can't self heal) and has almost become a must have. If I am wrong, can someone show me some numbers, as I was informed that trying to lower the targets armor in PVP is almost a waste of time. (and 100% waste in PVE)

I understand your concern. And appreciate your feedback... (and i clearly miscalculated)

STILL, this is all away from my question.... and i'm sorry, that we went down this tangent. (i don't use English that often these days)

--Does Sharpening Counteract Impenetrable?? or does Impenetrable follow the armor (so if you don't have ...or have reduced armor ...you have reduced impenetrable effect)

    appreciate your thoughtful response.

AFAIK, impenetrable only negates crit %, not other abilities. It would be even more OPed than it is right now otherwise.

    Sharpening counteract Reinforced
    Impenetrable counteract Precise (Weapon\Spell Crit)

What about Puncture/Ransack/Pierce Armor from the One Hand and Shield tree? Will only the bigger effect (-40% or -600) stick?
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.

is it not enough to get 50% crit resist so you can have 2 items with infused or get a sorc more then 50% crit chance?

From all the testing I have read and the tests I have run myself, V12 Legendary with Impenetrable, gives 100 Crit resit which means it will lowers the crit chance of the person hitting you by 10%

Most sorc in PVP run with about 50% crit chance, so you want to run with around 500 Crit resit (5 Legendary items with Impenetrable), so yes, having 6 or 7 pieces with Impenetrable is optional, but with the set changes, some players can get very high crit rates.

I personally use 5 pieces Seducer Set with Impenetrable and 5 pieces of warlock (helm, shoulders and 3 jewelry)
