Is this an Exploit?

There is a NB that hit me over 3k damage in around 1.5 secs from range... I saw this same NB insta drop a full health temp a minute later.He dissapears right as the Temp is falling and he is gone..Several people use potions but cant find him he just repeats his actions. . The guy moves so fast in stealth potions are useless... The stealth speed and get away does not bother me however being insta killed from range is bad...By the way if your marked by him just go ahead and lay down blocking will not save you.. I went out after i saw some of this held shield out just to see... He marked me was hit by 5 attacks in less then a 2 sec period one of them did 1700 damage...

Its not an exploit for an NB to hit that hard especially if your marked and they hit you from hide.

Templar was unmarked.. plus hitting hard is not my issue. ITS FIVE ATTACKS at range in little over a 1-2 sec period... Speed of attacks and it being from range.... Not sure how your getting all that off with just fingers lol....

The 3k temp was insta dropped from range ..... insta dropped.. Dagger hit 1 to 2 times before a steath crit snipe hits then the two more daggers hit immediately...

because snipe takes a long time to reach its target, it seems like all of the attacks hit very quickly. Also animation cancelling might be occuring or at least light attack weaving.

I believe you are correct ... this is an insta kill action ... I was hit before the stealth snipe attack with daggers, then I was three more times with daggers almost instantly ... CRAZY STUFF... 5 Attacks insta death ... Thanks for the info ... After he releases his attacks he goes invisiable and runs ... but you are already dead ... He moves so fast that stealth potions are useless btw ...


Anyone have any idea's for counter ?????????

Actually just talking to the Temp he said he was dead no animation that is how fast lol !!!! :P

Night silence is bugged and does not work in current patch. It is fixed in 1.3

My bud got a screen shot I didnt however We might have a video of it ... I know the Temp was taking a video that night ...

if it Is an exploit, don't expect anything to be done:( if you are marked, all you can do is block, and hope they attack you. that way you negate a lot of the damage, and you can pummel them into the ground. you can try to sneak away(you have to have the morph to see stealthed people, and not all NBs use that specific morph) and roll to dodge snipe if you see them use it. other than that, idk. he may have used animation canceling or something along those lines.

Screenshot unusual death reports as a habit, which includes recount log is helpful. Although the report feature still is awkward especially for those with ascii characters in their name. To assume bow / snipe may or may not be accurate. Order and timing would be interesting to see.

Ive had a certain nb with a bow take my health down from roughly 3 k to dead in a shot. They can be ugly with the right set up.

I don't think it was an exploit. I'm a Bow NB as well and I can tell you when I mark someone if they don't put up block then I will likely kill them. If they do, then I will probably not even try.

The guy who got you may have used snipe from stealth at max range then ambush then "daggers." He probably got a crit on the snipe and Ambush. It may have seen like you insta died but it is possible for NB to get two attacks off before snipe even hits you.

Lagswitch from stealth or sniped. There's no way for you to prove this sort of thing but a GM can monitor them for a bit and determine fairly quickly.

As an NB you can get some serious speed happening in stealth with things like steed mundas and concealed weapon on your bar, and a few speed enchantments and yes snipe hits hard.

He may well be running macros to get that many hits in such a short time, but then ZOS don't really care about users with macros currently.

You 'could' report him, but nothing will come of it.

Vampire sneak speed + 25% concealed wep + 5% steed mundus + 30% from invisibility pot, that's basically moving as fast as a horse in stealth. I would hardly be surprised if he got out of the 20m detect radius before someone used a detect pot.

Detection potions are far from foolproof anyway. I often get the half opened eye, pop my detection potion and never even find the guy before the potion wears off.

That has to do with a bug regarding stealth/detection, which the devs mentioned once long ago and never talked about again. Basically sometimes a stealth person and their detection area will desync in the server, leaving their 'bubble' stationary while they keep moving on. That person will continue to have their stealth detect radius around them, but anyone passing the area where it desynched earlier will start to have their eye open even though no one's around there. This generally seems to remain there until the bugged person gets detected somewhere else (their actual location). It's annoying as *** since it basically breaks your stealth.

I do know of a few individuals that can do 5k+ opening. Here is how.

Snipe (or variation), switch to 2h, critical rush, execute. If done correctly the person dies and you can restealth.

Snipe (or variation), NB appear next to target, pretty much any ability, execute.

Both of these gives a ton of damage before you have time to react as the snipe has to travel to target.

as a dk you block and cast reflect every 4 secs until the mark is gone or you back yourself behind a tree or rock or keep or other ppl. Do this and wait for them to show themselves. If they're range NB you have it covered AKA reflective scales(I also cast immovable for the random nb who likes to stun first).

If they're melee your block should suffice enough for you to at least start a rotation of talons inhale engulf flame lash unstable flame to make them rethink being close to you.. If there's more than one NB melee ,you're prolly screwed.

yeah id say he hit you with heavy attack/snipe combo followed ambush and impale they will all connect at about the same time if done well.
