My New Burglar Alt - by Hook or by Crook I will get those recipes

My main is Vet5, 50 Blacksmith, 50 Clothier, 50 Alchemist, 50 Provisioner. I have 214 recipes. All of the no-brainers and a few of the "Where'd you get that?"

I am missing most lvl 15 blues. No big deal, but I am a collector and would like to have as complete a recipe book before the pie-in-the-sky total eff-over overhaul of provisioning.

The fact is I am missing eleven green recipes. I am missing the mythical Saltrice Slurry (I have the blue of it, go figure), and several Ebonheart lvl 15's - all three plump worm and all three dragon's tongue sap.

This coming Monday - justice system goes in. I intend to get those missing ebonheart recipes nonetheless. It will take time to get this alt to lvl 15. But once I do, I will search far and wide for the best place with unguarded desks. Will have to figure out where to find a bank where I dont get arrested for my bounty.

I am looking forward to being cut down in the streets like a rabid dog by squads. It will add spice.

Because of my financial situation, I paid for six months in advance. I play every day, usually four hours a day, but sometimes 18 hours. I have enjoyed the heck out of this game.

But if it becomes impossible to ever complete my recipe book, then when the six months is up, I'm out of here. The last update already made PvP impossible for me. When the new campaigns go in, having fun in Cyrodiil even as a quest hub will no longer be an option.

They can't dangle Trial content to get my attention. They made a change in 1.2.2 that makes it impossible for my rig to render more than then five toons at once.

Each change they have made so far has only made things worse for me.

Justice system is not on the PTS and I doubt its coming very soon. Your recipe collecting is safe.

Very, very interesting. I will push through to those green recipes. Maybe without the justice system in yet I can find some of my missing blue. I dont expect to find purples, purples require too much luck.

Thank you Isibis, you have made my weekend.

You might consider reading this before finishing your recipe collection.

i know the revamp thread quite well. i also know that since soliciting ideas from the community, no dev has posted squat to that thread. that means they are still in the "thinking" stage.
I dont think they are going to get through the planning stage before update 4 in six weeks. My guess is that the provisioning overhaul will be in update 5 in twelve weeks.

    Good luck, OP!

The provisioning overhaul has killed my desire to complete my recipe collection. I will obtain all the green recipes then no more as I see no point in collecting the rarer blues and purples if they will all be rendered obsolete.

There is no such thing as a rare blue cooking recipe... I have/had so many blue's that I started to be unable to GIVE them away.

Purple drops... now those are Pink Llama EV rare.. in fact more so...

I have only one blue lvl 10 out of six and only two lvl 15 out of six. i cruise four trade guilds twice a day looking for recipes of these two lvls.
They might not be rare, but nobody seems to get enough duplicates to share.

What I've noticed is that since recipe drops are character level based now, you need to be looting with a low level character. My lvl 30 picks up tier 3 recipes in the first zone. Since not enough lvl 10 to 20 players farm these recipes, there are none on the market.

You must be referring to the blue vet recipes; those are a dime a dozen. However, try collecting all the sub-40 blues.

    I have 4 level 35 purples; 1 level 35 blue.

I am in 4 trading guilds and throw up WTBs in zone chat daily in the lower zones and have only found 1 level 35 blue and a handful of lower level blues. So yes, the sub-40 blues are indeed rare.

    Indeed.
