Leveling undaunted??

So I have Sanguine Altar III at this point on my Templar, I don't often use it, unless in a group. I always keep it on my hotbar to level it regardless. I still haven't hit level 2 in undaunted. Is there something else I can do?

you level undaunted by doing the 4man dungeons AND you can get a level doing the achievment "this one's on me"

To piggyback smee, all of the veteran dungeon achievements also give you Undaunted experience.

It's stupid hard to get Undaunted up, especially if you are a soloist.

Like said above, the Undaunted line doesn't level by using abilities ...

Most skill lines level based on EXP (from using that line) except
Werewolf levels from kills in werewolf form
Undaunted levels from linked achievements (4 man instanced dugn, normal and vet and the one achievement where you buy them all a drink)
Mage Guild levels from reading lore books
Fighters Guild levels from killing undead and daedra
PVP rank levels from PVP

But the SKILLS that you get from thoses lines, you can level thoses up by just having them on your bar like any other skill. It should tell you this in game tho if you move your mouse over the skill line bar, a 'hint' tells you what levels them.

The best part of the undaunted skill line, is each skill has a really nice synergy, but as they can only be triggered in groups... makes senses you can only level the skill line in groups.

you cant level Undaunted up as a soloist, its a group skill line

So when you say it's a group skill, does that mean I need to finish a questline in a group instance and/or with a group?

you need to complete 4 man dungeons. I'm not sure if redoing the dungeon without the quest would work, if so it would be much less exp. Maybe a little for killing the bosses.

You can ONLY level the skill line by finishing dugn achievements, just move your mouse over the skill line and its tells you that. It even shows you which achievements you have to do.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you get Undaunted experience for redoing a dungeon.

Correct you get NO undaunted exp from just being IN a dungeon (or kills in there), you ONLY get it from completing dungeon achievements. (and only the ones marked as linked to undaunted skill line). Look under the achievement tab, that IS an dungeon based achievement. but there are many more, like 300 kills of undead in a vet dugn etc

Awww okay, so I misunderstood what leveled Undaunted then. I thought it was completing group dungeon quests, but it's rather the achievements. Got it, thanks for the correction.

Well you do get credit for the damage, block heal and kill count ones even if you already did the quest

Sometimes while talking on the phone I will Solo normal Wayrest or something easy.

I did get undaunted points for "damage dealer," dungeon marauder" etc.

So I could technically grind out the 10,000,000 damage point, heal and block ones and the 10,000 enemy / 1,000 boss ones in dungeons I have finished... it would take a very long time though.

K Undaunted skill is earned by doing this:

All solo dungeons completed with killing last boss
All public dungeons, group challenge, bosses
Give a drink in every town, look for achievement
All Group + Veteran dungeons + special achievement in them
Trails

Dont know if I have them all, but it gives a clear picture on what has to be done

This is one of the hardest skill lines to level, since you cant just use an addon like lorebooks to find all the needed lorebooks to get to lvl 10 mages guild

Any achievement linked to public or solo dungeons do not count. Even some of the veteran only ones do not count. Its a very small subset that does. That's want makes it leveling it so hard. Took me a long time to get the last skill and I checked the exp bar after every achievement.

yeah sadly can confirm what Natjur is writing just checked. so its even a harder leveling to do, if you dont do group dungeons that much

All of the undaunted abilities are really fun but require someone pressing X to really be any good.

You can finish group dungeons solo at Veteran Rank but you will certainly need groups for the Veteran Dungeons.

Can confirm that public dungeon achievements don't count towards Undaunted xp. Just completed the Tooth Maul Vanquisher and Conqueror achievements to test it out and got nada.

Actually I seem to recall gaining a little EXP when killing in the dungeons but maybe it was just named enemies.
