2 Respec Questions

1. When you reselect skills, if you skip one that you had previously do you keep the XP you had in that skill if you pick it up again later. (FYI, I started on a secondary role too early and need to respec to be more focused, but hope to come back to being able to cover 2 roles later).

2. Does anyone know when the discounted respec will come to live? There doesn't seem to be a reason to wait until 1.3.

1. Yes. Your skill/morph experience level remains the same, even if you don't select the skill/morph immediately after respeccing.
2. It's coming with 1.3. Not sure why you think they're going to add a major component of the update in advance of the others, but they aren't.

Yes, you keep the XP of these skills you skip when you respec.
And I wondered about that, too, when the discounted respec will finally take place in the game, I don't know.

Thanks, that helps a bunch.

I was just hoping that the respec cost change was simple enough that they might choose to put it on live sooner so people could experiment with or fix builds sooner. I guess that is unlikely.

That's what I thought, too I mean, how could this be such a "major" change?

Worth noting about keeping XP is that both morphs of a skill count as separate skills. When you reset it, if you had say level 3 on one morph, picking the other morph will give you a level 1 skill.

The point is that they're making changes to skills and set bonuses with 1.3. That's why they're offering such a reduced cost on respecs when the patch comes out. They'll be adjusting the price down after that, but it will still be more expensive than it will be immediately post patch.

When the update comes on respect will be 1g per skill point. After a little bit they will raise the price to the discounted price which is unknown. My guess would be 30-50 gold per skill but I don't know.

Didn't they state somewhere that the first thing they were thinking was a 25% discount to respec costs (so 75g per skill point), followed by a system where morphs can be individually redone?
