Finding every quest

Hey all

For all you completionists out there - my wife is wanting to find and finish every quest. How do you go about it, besides the obvious answer of running around till you find them? Is there a good database for starting locations anywhere? There doesn't seem to be an addon for it.

Thanks

The first step is making sure that all the icons on the map are filled in white. If there's a location on the map that's black, then there's at least one quest in the area you haven't done.

I don't *think* there are any quests that aren't tied to either a place, or a major quest line (Fighter's Guild, Mage's Guild, Main Quest)... But I might be wrong.

Regardless, the above is definitely the first step to being a 100%'er. Beyond that, I'm sure there're sites that'll list every quest in every zone, and their starting location.

You've got 5 options for finding and completing quests for ESO.

2 options on what you complete
    &
3 options on where to find quests TO complete

    #1 Deciding what to complete

Your wife can do 1 of 2 things here:
    • She can complete the required number of quests for each zone to acquire the achievement.
    or
    • She can try and find every, single, quest, in each zone before moving on to the next.

While the first option is more prudent and gets you through the zone faster AND gets you the achievement, the 2nd option is going to take you more time and can often be frustrating.

As an example, I'm Vet12 at the moment. I've got every quest achievement for every zone (except Craglorn) AND I tried to find every quest available to complete, in every zone. It's taken me a significant amount of time and even now, while exploring and achievement hunting, I still come across quests I have missed, or were broken at the time I went through the zone originally and now have been fixed. I expect to find more quests I've missed in various zones.

    #2 Finding quests

On the drop-down menu on the right side, select the zone you wish to examine. For example we'll take the much hated zone (quest finding wise) of Shadowfen.

Once selected, you'll see the map come up, populated with a ton of icons. On the right side again, remove ALL of the icons except the Quest Markers. This will give you a very good idea of the number of quests in each zone and where to find them.

In the top box, select the zone you want to examine and in the box below, select any filters you wish to apply to the search. Do not select any filter to make the search show all quests available for that zone.

Clicking on any quest in the list will give you a brief overview of its objectives and some of them have screenshots of the NPCs and the location of where the quest is.

This is an Addon on the ESOUI site. It is best to have this Addon running BEFORE you enter into a zone to start questing. The addons tracks all available quests in a zone and also marks them off when you complete them. It places an icon on the map as well on where the quests is started.

These are probably not ALL of the options available, these are just the options I chose to use, and they worked out well for me.

    Good Luck!

Theres also an addon called "undiscovered" which gives you a marker for POIs on the ingame map. Helped me a lot!

The quests guide at Dulfy.net is helpful as it includes map markers for all of the quests it lists; but there are some missing quests, though (like the unmarked quest obtained by killing some bandits outside the eastern entrance to Wayrest).

there are quests that are unrelated or don't contribute to filling out an area. I recently completed one. And I still didn't get the malabol tor adventurer achievement because it turns out I'm bugged.

As others have mentioned, get the Undiscovered addon. Then use it to look for quest hubs, this will find you most of the quest chains and side quests. There are still a few that might be tougher to find. I usually just go until I get the "Complete n quests in..." achievement for each zone.

I copy-paste every quest from ESOHead into a notepad file and just mark them off as I complete them.

I am one of the "few" who found quests others dont. I dont use a single addon at all. Nothing.

You have to LOOK. Explore. Check behind every tree, in every burned building, etc

    EXPLORE.

This takes time and you may never find every quest. That's how's it supposed to be.

SOME things the computer shouldnt do for you. You should do something yourself :-p

    Go explore!

Yes, they have gone to great lengths, and you have paid a great deal, for a world that is there to be explored. Blindly rushing between points marked out for you on a map means you miss out on the ESO experience...

I explore every inch of every zone. Can be in a zone for weeks! :-)
