Vigilants of Stendar - creating the look

Hey everyone,

I know that the Vigilants of Stendar aren't part of the lore yet, coming about at the end of the Oblivion Crisis and all. However, they were one of my favorite groups of NPCs from Skyrim, owning the Daedra with one-handed weapons and spells, and wearing cloth chest pieces with heavy armor everything else.

I am hoping to create a character with that sort of look in ESO, and while I know how to make them look right in terms of armor, I was wondering what people thought might be the best class for that kind of character. I am thinking Templar, but would love to hear people's take on it.

Also, since we don't need to wield spells in the hands in this game, what weapon choice do you think would fit them best? One-hand and Shield, Two-Handed, or Dual-wield?

Thanks

I prefer the reverse look to what you are saying...heavy chest (sometimes shoulders) and the rest light. I would prefer that the light leggings in that case look like a lower robe, but in most cases they are pants.

I would go for Templar because of the Dawn's Wrath skill line and the Vigil used mainly one handed maces it seems with no shield.... so maybe one hand and shield would definitely be the closest.

The Templars are basically this time's equivalent of the Vigilants.
The Aedric Spear is also said to be ib the symbol of Stendarr.

The daedric light armor leggings are a lower half robe, so mixing that with a heavy chest and shoulders (imperial or Breton style) should give you a good classic templar/paladin look.

as soon as I can get my hands on the daedric motif, that's what I plan on doing.

No irony in a Vigilant wearing daedric armor. :pensive:
