Werewolf story line

So I've completed the Ebonheart Pact as a werewolf. I'm now going through the Daggerfall Covenant. I notice there's a lot of werewolf here and quests to kill werewolves or whatever. I AM a werewolf. Why would I want to harm my own kind? Surely other werewolves can smell me as one there own and not attack on sight?? There should be some game mechanism to account for werewolf players and change the story accordingly.

Pack rivalry? Perhaps Faolchu and his brood aren't too pleased at an outsider showing up.

My character is a vampire, and she just rationalizes it as eliminating other vampires that have made the mistake of serving Molag Bal or the mistake of bringing chaos to to order, which is something vampires like her have always opposed, because it disrupts the human "herd," so to speak.

You might be able to do something like that with your werewolf toon, in terms of justifying his/her actions regarding other werewolves.

But, yes, ideally it would be nice if ESO had it so vampire/werewolf NPCs somehow acknowledge the PC as a vampire or werewolf, if s/he is indeed one.

But what is a pure blood anyway? Those originally transformed my Hircine?

These werewolves do not have free will, they are under control of someone (don't want to spoil) Anyway Hircine promotes death to the weak and power to the strong if these pups think they can take you on, its time to show them who the alpha male is.
