I agree. I find myself making dummy gear just to see what it actually looks like.
Not really the best use of my mats ...

In the crafting menu we only have the small icons, which really doesn't help at all (especially after the craglorn patch color changes). The last set of armor I made looked completely ridiculous with color and style, simply because I used different motifs. It is way too expensive to make multiple items just to see what they look like.
I'm aware that the dye system might alleviate some of this, but only for items you already have/made. Plus, you still have to waste bind on equip items. It would be nice not to have to resort to external websites (which don't always have everything).
This system is present in pretty much all the MMO's I've played. Is this something we can have in ESO? Thoughts?

Um, are you kidding? Each motif looks significantly different from the others, and in most cases each material level looks significantly different from the others. When you're crafting yourself a new set because you've hit a new level (maybe now you're high enough level to wear ebonthread, so you want a new set of gear) it would be nice to be able to see which items you like the look of at that level before you craft it.shehieb17_ESO wrote: »Wicked_Wolf wrote: »It's always seemed very strange to me that we don't have a real gear preview option. What to preview there?! Game has like handful of motifs, all looking similar. You get like 14 types of arms/armor looks and their different color styles for different craft-grades.

I have been asking for this since launch, or perhaps beta, and I'm happy that the design team is FINALLY taking a serious look at this for a future upgrade.
So, what you're saying is that we can complain here on the forums for months and nobody cares but if one person asks during a (enter your favorite social media name here) session, you go straight to the design/dev team to present this great "new" idea.ZOS_JasonLeavey wrote: »Hey there, all.
