idea for home instances or guild hall

I was thinking of skyrim how you were able to build nd improve a personal house was thinking y not add a home instance or a guild hall instance where certain crafting can add improvements nd then able to farm certain material over time at that instance for example add a botany area to gain some materials for potions every couple hours or so

I like how a lot of people want to play Sims in MMORPG's. I think there's a better alternative - Sims 4 is coming in a month! You can have a house and you can decorate there! :grinning:

That was constructive. mmoRPG - houses lend themselves perfectly to the RPG element. Just because you don't like them it doesn't mean they don't have any value.

Oh there is a whole thread somewhere, with marvellous suggestions of things to be incorporated with player owned properties, including Guild Halls of course.

You should do a search for it.

Housing is becoming a pretty standard expectation in MMOs. And nobody is asking to play the SIMs so no need to dump on the OP's ideas by saying something like that. Housing can be pretty fun for all types of people - those who want to own a piece of ground in the game, those who want to RP and socialise, those who want to show off their accomplishments by displaying trophies, those who just want somewhere quiet to relax.

I'd like to see instanced villages where we can both own a home and also use player controlled shops. This would be quite a lively environment I think and make housing feel very active.

Especially in a ES game. I'm pretty sure that player housing is the most moded item right behind slutty armor. So, I'm surprised it's not in game already. Just make it like have ample, FREE storage. Please.

ES homes are one of the biggest fan favorites. I remember spending forever in Oblivion getting my book collection on the shelves. I want houses, but I don't want generic skyrim style of homes. I want to be able to fully customize it.

Ive played a couple MMORPGs with home instances that were fun, great way to bring the player community together bring em over, drink some ale and relax, I also spent a ton of gold and resources into making my house look dope, but having it in a multiplayer setting would be even more rewarding

Without hating me please, i got to say so far the only MMO that nailed housing for me is Wildstar, feature rich, infinite possibilities to create, and is tight to the whole game so much that is kinda becomes essential for you to have a proper house with crafting stations, gardens and other staff to harvest, mini games, mini dungeons, etc. etc.

I mentioned it in another thread, but I really liked the way that TES III Morrowind did it to where you had to join one of the Houses and do quests for them in order to get your own Stronghold. I think ZOS should do something similar to that but include sandbox elements that allow us to decorate it the way that we want to.

Woodworking could certainly use more items to craft. It seems to me housing items (furniture) would fill it out quite nicely.
