How old are you?

I'm just wondering what age group most players in this game are. I've met a lot who are in their mid-twenties or early thirties, and a few who are in their forties, but not too many who are older or younger.
Also, I know it's technically against the rules for people under 18 to play, but hey, that hasn't stopped anyone from doing it anyway. The poll is anonymous though so anyone who answers "Under 18," you need not worry about your secret becoming unveiled (at least not to me).

Well, based on the numbers so far roughly 2/3 of the players are over 30.

I went to a nostalgia music club some days ago and Pretty Fly (For a White Guy) started playing. As I am trashing the dance floor with my awkward white girl movez I overhear some 18 year olds next to me talking about how funny the song was and that they never heard it before.

That's when it dawned on me.
Growing up in the 90s was pretty damn awesome.

I was born in 82, so at least I got to see the 80's. Had my hair waffled every day, and used to hide a cherry flavored lip gloss in my backpack that my best friends big sister gave me. She was supercool and 17 and had pink hair.

I started elementary school the year after Eisenhower was elected and was 17 the year Kennedy died, however, I never got past the 60s so I am still young. Chuckle, I started gaming about the time most of you were born.

Nonsense can come from any age group. Calling those under 25 children and saying that population explains zone and forum chat mishaps is unkind to those in that age range, and I admit I've seen plenty of grief from higher age ranges, including my nearly-60 father who will hammer out all sorts of swearing when people are uh... underperforming in PvP.

Yea I've heard far more uncivilized things from geezers than the young. Not that the young aren't really good at saying those types of things, it's just the elderly seem to feel like they don't have to pretend to be decent anymore.

I have a lot of piercings and tattoos, and the group of people that stares daggers at me the most are the elderly. They seem to be offended by my very existence. I realize this seems unrelated but I think it is indicative of the attitude of the elderly in general.

Not to mention some of the very selfish opinions on life many elderly have, and the inherent racism that seems so common.

53 and been playing computer games since the days of the Vic-20 (3 kb of memory). I would say it is the folks who are mentally children that are the problem. It's not actual age so much as the way that some people act. (And nothing wrong with being an adult who acts like one. You can still play games and have fun without realizing it is awesome to be middle aged or older with the wisdom and responsibility that brings. We are messed up in our current society in that we only respect "youth".)

Other consoles SEGA Megadrive (with MEGA CD & 32X addons as they came out). Nintendo NES, Super Nintendo. XBox, Wii, Playstation 1,2,3 and now 4
