Crowd control is flawed in many ways

Crowd control (CC) is flawed in different ways:

1. There are many authentic reports of CCs not being breakable by use of 'break free' (right and left mouse button) or rolling (double tap).
2. Some CCs work in a way they aren't ment to work: Venom Arrow from the bow skill line does not only interrup a casting player and puts him out of balance and stuns him for 3 seconds, it also has sometimes an silencing effect. I have noticed that quite often. I usually use no cast time spells in PvP so I can't be interrupted by Venom Arrow (or other abilities). I use Crushing Shock, Light Attack and Crystal Fragments if I got a proc (and only as a proc, not hardcasted). All of these are instant casts so Venow Arrow can not interrupt me and therefore not stun me. But instead I often get silenced, I still can move (because I'm not stunned) but can't cast anything, not even get away with Ball of Lightning (Bolt Escape morph).
3. CCs are mostly combined effects with damage. But the abilities with which we should remove those CCs are single effects. This means the enemy casting CC+damage over and over at us forces us to use defensiv action while we can't heal ourselves. He can crowd control us PLUS do damage to us while we only can try to break CC (which often does NOT work!). This is not balanced right.

What can be done about it?

Zenimax has said that with1.3.x they will cange the CC system in a way that after breaking a CC one will become immun to CCs of the same kind for 3 seconds. Well, this might help a little if breaking the CCs would actually work, which atm does often not work.

But Zenimax should do another thing: CC effects and damage should be seperated, meaning that an ability which does damage has no crowd control effect and vice versa. This would have the effect that players have to use their abilties more thoughtful and can not spam an enemy to death with a combined CC/damage-ability like they do in most fights at the moment.

Subscription cancelled due to the following facts:

- Zenimax implements more bugs from patch to patch
- Zenimax does not care about the increasing instability of the game. People have more and more crashes Fix of memory bug decreased number of crashes considerably
- Zenimax has still not fully fixed the fps drops they (!) implemented with patch1.2.3
- Zenimax does nothing to fix the massive ability lags in PvP
- Zenimax gives more attention to unnecassary 'content' like dyes for armors than fixing issues
- In patchnotes Zenimax lies about bugs allegedly fixed
- Zenimax has no plan as to how balance population in Cyrodiil campaigns
- Support is ineffective and does not even speak in a way one can linguistically understand

    well, venom arrow is SUPPOSED to throw casters off balance. though idk why it "silences" them. the CC system does need work. it seems to not work half the time, not to mention at times 3/4 of my stamina bar goes down when I do it. that's a bit much of a cost don't you think?

    I didn't say that Venom Arrow was NOT supposed to throw caster of balance, but it's supposed to do so only when it INTERRUPTS a cast and an instant cannot be interrupted because it has NO cast time!

    yeah too many skills are instant, why have a interupt when there is very few skills that have a cast time. I would like to see all area effect spells made on a cast time but keep single target skills on instant unless they are way to powerful to be an instant of course.
    Patch 1.2.3 nerfed the game....
    Zergballing wrecked pvp......

    Animation times are counted as a cast time and can be interrupted. The stun portion of Venom arrow and Crushing Shock work against instant cast abilities.
